  1. Its not my type of thing but the young ones and the ladies like this sort of thing. And I think where fev heve been clever is doing it as a stand alone thing and not as pre match entertainment. It will be good for the club profile and they can actually make thier money back from ticket sales or even make a profit with beer and merchandise. Well done to the club.
  2. Who are the headline acts for the final going to be? Did any one hear the announcement at the game.
  3. This is the one we,ve waited for? or it might go right it might go wrong? Top song top group. I just thought seasons in the sun seemed apt at the moment, this season just seems to have that special feel about it, like this could be our "season in the sun". It is a bit slow and probably not chant material.
  4. Stripped of 2 premiership titles, docked all this years points, fined $500,000, have to pay back $1.1 million in prize money, for breaching the sallary cap by $1.7 million over 3 years. They were running two sets of books and paying extra payments to players.
  5. "Featherstone featherstone ...its OUR season in the sun". Would this work as a chant? Also the whole song "seasons in the sun" would be a fitting song to play at the last game before the ground is/if developed. "The hills that we climbed were just seasons inthe sun"
  6. Think about what YOUR saying. Either way we would have to play Toulouse and Keighley at home this season. The likely-hood being that Toulouse would bring very few when ever we played. Where as Keighley may bring less on this date due to the fact that its at short notice, on sky and on a thursday night. The point about suing anyone, was tongue in cheek. As I said I agree in principle as little can be done about the situation, I was merely highlighting the point that we could stand to lose money from the switch of the Keighley match.
  7. I agree with the switch in principle. The only concearn I have is crowed figures. I doubt the French would have brought many fans with them on either date, yet with the short notice and the fact this is a sky match on a thursday night, I believe Keighley will bring less than they would of done on the aranged Sunday. Hope we will be compensated!
  8. Now confirmed on club site. One month with a few to trying to make it longer.
  9. I heard at the halifax match that the grownd is being pushed up towards the railway by 25 metres, to accomadate a road thru to the land at the back at the post office road end and that the ground would be refurbished encluding at least one new stand at the railway end. Also that the railway station was going to be moved. I think this is a good idea as their is nothing really wrong with the stands we have or nothing a bit of a make over wouldnt sort out. And after we have spent some money doing the ground up we should still have some a good bit left in the bank. Having said that I dont know how reliable the source was.
  10. Hard to dispute any of the above mentioned. I think Briggs deserves a special mention, he has set up a lot tries aswell as scoring himself, his out of hand kicking has improved and pinned opponents back, and his goal kicking has improved beyond belief, he also tackles like a second rower.
  11. Judging by your other post. I reckon the the games up for you dougie, nice try
  12. Wow your one tough customer to please dougy. Did you find any positives?
  13. Are you a halifax fan? The first half Rovers got over the line on at least 4 occasions but halifax still reasonably fresh held us out. The second half our forwards ( and backs ) carried on smashing halifax all over and our dominance told.
  14. What a TEAM, thats the big difference this year where a team, we attack as a team, and defend as one, no slackers. I would have payed double for the atmoshpere and entertainment that was served up tonight. Lets keep it up
  15. Come on Bob keep your chin up your an inspiration to many a fev fan.
  16. The greatest gift a boy can give his mum, is Pride. We all aspire to do this, some of us fall short, some of us only achieve this in small measure. You though Stuart have bestowed this gift in bucket loads. Best wishes A Martin
  17. The new site is up on the .net domain now. And I must say it looks very good. Their is still a lot of gaps to be filled in but all in all it looks very profesional and when the content is on, it will be very good. This is probably what caused the problem today, the old site coming down and the new one going up.
  18. On clicking link it says, " to remove this page please add your website to the public html directory" Think this needs looking at stu.
  19. I thought all the entertainment was good today and gave the proceedings a little more sparkle. Ie the dancers and kicking comp. Keep up your good work
  20. Good Idea, would need to get the local schools and colleges involved as that is where most bands will be be based or have a base. Allso worth advertising at local reahearsal spaces. Some of the groups may bring their local fans awell so alround a good idea.
  21. Kaye fed our playmakers with great accuracy and pace and that is the main difference for me. Jack is a good player but often takes a step from dummy half before the pass which gives our playmakers less time. Simple stuff really and the hope should be that Kaye has taught Jack a thing or two which will make his game even better.
  22. I think dp and the lads will see this match as a marker and a statement of intent, this coupled with the fact that the team looks a lot more balanced this year, Im going to for a Rovers win. Go on lads, give it your all.
