For me and i think some others on here, it isn't just skys treatment of our game it goes back far further than that. I have taken a stand for political and moral reasons. these things don't reduce with time if you intend to stay loyal to your beliefs.

My bet is the inclusion of Quins and Celtic hasn't increased sales for sky that much. Viewing figures for SL are not that great anyway. They are often less than 1 million or about the viewing figures for Channel 4s ailing Countdown.

I'm 100% with you on the Sky issue Robin and like you the reasons go back further than their involvement in RL. My only interest in RL is FEV. i couldn't give a flying fig about SL, grand finals, internationals or Challenge cups. If other people think that attitude is a waste of time i don't give a flying fig about that either.

Bob, i personally don't like the jobsworth crack but i do disagree strongly with your stance on this. I admit i really don't like moderators interfering unless foul language, bullying or mischief making is involved. I believe no rules have been broken and a topic has simply devolved into a wider debate on the point of clubs who are at this moment struggling. On the original topic i hope Gateshead overcome their problems but yes they should be relegated. I also hope Wakefield go to hell on a handcart, i'll never forgive them for IMO double crossing the lower leagues.

You have a point, teletext is pretty useless for RL and has been for ages. Then again the internet is not a lot better. Places where you can find general news about the championship are few and far between. Fans forums are often full of maybe and could be. In an age of so many media outlets, for me it's still the written media that provides the most news. ie. League Express etc.
