  1. As pathetic as I have ever seen from an EXPERIENCED official. So much so wrong. Then did the usual trick of trying to level the penalty count after the game had ceased to be a contest. Even tho' Fev were the better on the day, they were allowed to be. Uneven penalty count + farcical decisions will turn any game. Penalty try + the only two forward passes given in the game result in an 18 point turn round. That will change any game.
  2. In the latter stages of the game he was playing a 15m ptb. Widnes had a ptb on their own 40 and the youth was back between HW and the Eagles 40. If you can't make use of the pitch markings, what can you do?
  3. Who is it that allocates refs to matches? Is it Cummins? Whoever it is, they are not up to the job when they are allocating trainees to top matches. Mr Turley should be doing U18 matches yet, should be nowhere near CC1. What's this big rush to get young refs through? Throwing anyone in out of their depth can ruin any prospective career.
  4. If the ref was 19 then the TJ on the near side 2nd half is 12. This was one of the top games in CC all season, certainly the top game today. Why did we get trainees? There are better, more experienced refs in the Pennine league than that pitiful excuse today.
  5. Taken from Pennine website: Pennine rule 11.c " In the event of teams finishing level on points, be it either at the top or the bottom of that division, the aggregate score of the teams involved will determine who is promoted or relegated." THE TABLE AT PRESENT MAY NOT REPRESENT THIS RULE As the results are: 24 October West Craven Warriors 15 v 28 Sheffield Hillsborough Hawks 6 March Sheffield Hillsborough Hawks 22 v 16 West Craven Warriors when the final table is calculated, Hawks would finish above West Craven.
  6. Both before and after the game there was only 1 coach outside the stadium. During the game there only appeared to be about 40-50 visiting supporters in two groups close to each other. These were sat in the front section level-ish with the halfway line.
  7. So you don't want a lift with me? You'll go with anyone you will if they've got a car!!! Tart!
  8. At times seemed out of control but better than his 'performance' in the Crusaders v Leeds match as there were no match turning mistakes. Still a feeble performance. Just as bad, if not worse, was Silverwood for the Cas v Wire game. Neither can control the ruck area, have any consistency, seem lacking in general control. What improvements have we seen with the advent of full time refs? They are no better than before, if anything the present bunch are worse than ever. What Cummins is doing is anybody's guess. Still, I think they are all trying to perform really, really badly to make Child feel at home!!
  9. Double header anyone? We manage to play 3 games on the same day at Murrayfield and Warrington. Why not 2 at Swinton? KO at either 12:00 or 18:00. Sounds like Marty heaven!
  10. Great idea but let's do it properly. Couple of weeks training from Brendan Ingle's gym then it's the highlight of a big fund-raising night for the supporters club!! Pie and peas, then a race night then the big fight!
