The coldest place last night, according to Sky, was Chesham, Bucks.(-20) Our site engineer lives there. He was first in today, and he had to get to Duckville, 15 miles away or so. Meanwhile the Boss's Merc couldn't get over a speed bump....

Why are they telling you???? They should also be ringing U U to get it fixed, or do they think you should? Stick a note on your door telling folks who to ring, just as you have, and inform them you, and your rabid rotwieller and semi-trained pit bull know of the leak. Then open the wine and relax.

Same in Duckville, deep enough to make snowmen etc now. Or in our case, a snow "Bond Villain" with snow eye-patch and a rabbit to stroke,sitting on a revolving chair (my old pc desk chair which is outside) Edit: proof

The town ground to a halt in Duckville today. Had almost a whole inch if the stuff. Farcical. It's going to freeze tonight, then fresh snow on the ice tomorrow, that could cause issues, but today was just a farce, even cancelled the busses so had to walk home (with no problems), but why buy a return ticket if there's no return sevice?

Work Xmas do last night. God was I hammered!!! For some reason, it was an Egyptian themed event in MK, by Willen lake, but it was bloody good, the food was good too. Coach there and back, all paid for by the Boss.Including drinks. Lots of drinks. Now on hair of the dog, hoping to recover.

2 trips out in last 2 days, one east , one west, both on lovely crisp days, with scenery that was almost dangerously distracting, today, Glos was the best, the Cotswold area in winter, breathtaking, especially against a crystal blue sky. Yeah, it was cold, but that's what coats are for.

Big decision time, seems a job could be mine where I worked before in Warrington. It'd double my earnings, but then there's where to stay when on shift, or move back north? It's shifts again, there's my health, so much to mull.

Whilst driving through Weston Turville en route to Hemel, I saw a guy filling potholes wearing a feckin Santa hat. Should have nicked it/ run him over. Xmas starts Dec 20th EARLIEST....

I hate delivering to St George's hospital. How can it take 58 minutes to do 14 miles, unless you still own a Montego? Still, off to Warrington tomorrow, for my big 50th bash, should be good. Also going to have a day fishing with my son, and I haven't held a rod (of the fishing variety) for about 40 years.

Just moved house again.Even though my lease is up by 4 days, I got cleaning to do. However, it's h-t, so I'm backheeling it to my daughter while I work. Parenthood has some benefits.....
