Who wants to see knackered players backing up with a sub-standard performance on Easter Monday? Just because that's what we got used to in the "good old days". We should be aiming for something better than that, even before player welfare comes into consideration. Just sell the hell out of one special "event" Bank Holiday round - we have more than enough regular season fixtures as it is. But the club chairmen will be reluctant.

Terrible news for him, but he's young enough to bounce back. And if it takes longer than expected, I'm sure Jonny Lomax can have a word with him about how a run of injuries doesn't necessarily mean the end.

I saw most of it. Decent game. Mind you Featherstone Lionesses v East Leeds this afternoon was pretty brutal too.

To quote Ripley, from 'Aliens', "Take off, then nuke the stadium from orbit. It's the only way to be sure."

More probably will declare for Samoa, now Parish is gone. Even if his replacement isn't the best choice of coach, that already strengthens the side just in numbers of top players. I'm very much looking forward to see who announces their availability during the remainder of the season.

She could have been brought to a halt easily, or even pulled to the ground once that steward had a grip on her. But to be lifted and then driven that hard into the pitch was grotesque and suggests serious "mummy issues" on the part of the person who did it.

A 2021 list of eligible players, according to the Everything Rugby League site.
