  1. So is it a more attractive fixture list or not?
  2. Judging by the slide above, the League 1 clubs will mostly be kept apart from any of the stronger Championship clubs, presumably ti avoid hammering. So not sure the fixture list becomes any more attractive.
  3. Oh yeah, setting in stone is very much the RL way
  4. It's a bit weird this tbh. Did he snub you in hospitality once or something?
  5. To be fair it had taken around 12 minutes for Welsby to chase 30m across field to retrieve that ball, so the Aussies chase didnt have to be too impressive.
  6. You'd expect a fullback to do this. Well, maybe not Welsby.
  7. I think it was because he didn't move and the kicker ran straight into him? The attempt by the other Tongan chaser to ground the ball was embarrassing.
  8. Not sure if this is on-field or off-field, but 2.30pm isn't my favourite kick off time. Feels too early and I put the muted atmosphere early in the game down to people still filtering into the ground, as they were until 10-15 mins in.
  9. Young was one of our best today, one of very few who succeeded in winning any metres post-contact.
  10. Never seen a rugby league crowd like it really today. The average attendee was a 30 year old female hipster. I saw a bloke in a full tweed suit and a curly moustache. It was slightly disorientating but very pleasing to see. And Darren Lockyer and co will definitely not have left with the impression that there are no Aussies in London to target: there were thousands of the buggers.
  11. The forward passes Australia got away with today were beyond belief. Not the reason we lost, but we'd have been far more in the game if Dame Edna and Rolf Harris were running the lines - the bald headed fella was a joke.
  12. Not true, he gave us a number of six-agains on first tackle.
  13. Imagine if someone had been penalised for that when you were paying 2/6 to get in with your knitted vest.
  14. You must have loved it, your mate Walsh 'lit up' Wembley. Especially when he fell over in the first half and got a penalty for it.
  15. Weird that you are making this a Warrington thing. But yeah I'm sure if we had picked Gareth O'Brien we would have been fine.
  16. We were pretty feeble in that 2nd half. Poor contact, only Pearce-Paul looked able to break a tackle and there were no pacy runners anywhere. Sorry, and at risk of sounding like a vendetta, but Welsby is cooked. The way he chased that kick at the end reminded me of a three-legged donkey.
  17. Fine margins. Need to get to the end of sets, Williams and Lewis are doing some clever stuff. Welsby is a passenger though, needs to get in the game.
  18. Not slept a wink. Now got to drive to Wembley. Safe travels all, see you there.
  19. That's a superb result as you'd expect the depth in quality of a state side to be telling against a club academy. Well done lads.
  20. Don't be silly. We love the Kiwis.
  21. Schedule was announced on 22 August, opening game 30 September. Not saying that's a good move mind.
  22. Didnt the Women's Cricket World Cup (currently on) get firmed up about three weeks from the start?
  23. I tried to get this going but people started declaring their retirement.
