  1. After Brett Hodgson, Tony Smith and Simon Grix, my money was on Michael Monaghan or Lee Briers as the next member of the 2011/12 Warrington set-up to take over all Hull. Myler hadn't even occurred to me.
  2. Looks like a cup quarter final this, decent start. Moylan did get made to look a donkey there.
  3. There is a point about promotion, but I don't watch BBC promotions particularly closely and the BBC has a lot of content to promote. The more annoying thing is that they don't seem to be sticking to any particular pattern slot or channel for these BBC games. So nobody is thinking "it is 3pm (or whatever) on a Saturday, is the rugby on?". People point out that BBC3 is a free to air channel, but nobody scrolls through the TV guide to check if there is any rugby on on a random channel. I only knew the Catalans-Saints game was on BBC because the match thread on here mentioned it was in the title.
  4. Hull's performances have been horrific and I did think this must have been coming, and that Smith was clearly failing to have any impact on the squad. That said, I've felt a lot more sympathy since I saw how little Hull are spending vs the 8 or 9 teams you would see as their competitors. Unless there's a way of fixing that no coach is going to be able to make them real contenders.
  5. Also Saturday evening/night rugby is brilliant as an attendee or a TV viewer. More please.
  6. Yes he is clearly badly injured, standing as he is at full back. Oh look he's got the ball.
  7. Must admit, I'm never sure about Da Costa but he has come up with a couple of cracking plays in this half.
  8. Whenever a Saints player gets tackled, there are 2-3 other players stood 'downtown' telling the ref what he should be doing about it.
  9. Catalans need someone to calm it down, the game is winnable if they show some composure.
  10. That penalty against Sims is literally for nothing. Tremendous tackle by Da Costa on Walmsley means it comes to nowt.
  11. Did you not know Saints are having a viewing party tonight for those who havent travelled? 10,000 of them huddled around the big telescope at Jodrell Bank.
