...from Hull, according to Hollywood star Timothée Chalamet.

    https://www.marieclaire.co.uk/celebrity-news/timothee-chalamet-hull-accent

Timothée, who is currently on tour across Europe to promote his latest film, Wonka, made the surprising confession during an interview with Keegan-Michael Key for LADbible.

When asked by the fellow actor if he thinks French is the sexiest accent, Timothée replied: "I like the Hull accent."

"You like Hull?" replied Keegan-Michael Key. To which Timothée replied: "Yeah, why's everyone cracking up?" Before confirming: "Hull is sexy." Well, there you have it.

And it doesn't stop there. Timothée then revealed his "top three" accents saying: "I like Hull and Essex is in my top three, and I like a middle-aged Northern accent." To which Keegan-Michael replied, sounding slightly confused: "So middle-aged Yorkshire?"

    Was it ever in doubt?

    Sad news indeed.

She delivered what I still consider one of the greatest lines in British comedy. I think it was in the film where Bob, Thelma, Terry and his French? girlfriend go away in a caravan. They were playing cards and Terry and Thelma were playing a strategic game against Bob and Terry's girlfriend. Terry gets up and says he needs some fresh air and disappears outside. While the other three are waiting for him, they can all clearly hear him having a pee up against the side of the caravan. His girlfriend apologises saying "I'm sorry, this is so embarrassing", Thelma replies "Don't worry, it's the first time tonight I've known what he's got in his hand".

    Comedy genius!

Well remembered, mate. She was absolutely brilliant as Thelma. She delivered some outstanding writing superbly.

There used to be three power stations I could see on a clear day from my front door, Drax in the East, Ferrybridge (now demolished) in the West and one in between, whose name I can never remember.

The one in between was the aforementioned Eggborough, also now demolished.

Boat Story (iPlayer) is a six-parter worth a look. Another impressive turn from Daisy Haggard. The Tarantino-style cartoon violence won't appeal to everybody. Would benefit from tighter editing, which seems to be a lost art nowadays. At various points, Boat Story drifts off course. Persevere.

Filmed across Yorkshire. Locations include Bradford, Halifax (Calderdale, generally), Leeds, Redcar and Selby. Pretty sure Eggborough power station sneaks in, too.

The boat scene in the final episode was filmed at Humber Dock, Hull Marina.

Just to be ultra nerdy, the power station is Drax.

I definitely will if I can get out there. Like I say, it really depends on my mate. I want to start from the tip if we go out there on a decent day and can get to the tip of course but if that's not the case, I will have to be satisfied with just being able to see the tip. You could always take me out to Spurn mate! 😉

I wouldn't want you to take your life in your hands, mate. I haven't driven in a long time.

The problem with driving is that you've still got about a three mile walk to get to the Point since part of the road got washed away in the 2013 storm surge, so you're going to be doubling back on yourself if you walk it. The only vehicle that can get down there now is the YWT Unimog. Then again you might well know all this.

Scarborough to Robin Hood's Bay will probably be the next bit I'm walking. I'm waiting on a mate to drive me out to Spurn so I can do there to Withernsea but he is away for work a lot and we haven't been able to arrange it yet so like I say, it will probably be North Yorkshire next.

Are you planning on starting from the very tip of Spurn? The beach there is beautiful. Well worth paying to go up the lighthouse too. The views are spectacular on a clear day.

I haven't been to Filey since I was about eight years old!

I do remember the immense sweep of beach, but it was dry and windy, so we had to rent windbreaks to keep the sand out of everything.

You might be interested to know, if you don't already, that there's a Filey Bay whisky distillery now. They're actually based in Hunmanby but it's close enough. It's decent stuff too.

I've been to Filey twice this year, the first visits since I was a kid I think. I've started two legs of my mission to walk the entire Yorkshire Coast from Spurn Point to South Gare Lighthouse just past Redcar. So far I've done Withernsea to Scarborough but unfortunately I might have to postpone the rest of the walk until after winter.

Me and my Mrs have cycled the Cinder Track between Ravenscar and Whitby via Robin Hood's Bay. The views along the way are fantastic.

It was indeed off a Keith Neller(the prop) grubber through. I literally remember 2 things about that game, that try and a goalkeeper like dive by John Pendlebury to catch a ball that was going in to touch yet I have no idea why he did it because I don't think it was from a penalty. From the first game I vaguely remember a lot of drop goal attempts but nothing else.

The only thing I remember about the first game is a clearing kick by Gary Pearce going almost the full length of the field assisted by a near gale force wind blowing down the pitch.

Posted this and been stuck in a work meeting since! Some great responses to this. I don't know the answer but I am sure there is someone out there that does. I am thinking it will be something like 13-3.

I remember a 13-3 very vividly. It was the score Hull beat Hull KR in the very last BBC Floodlit Trophy Final.

Think you're right though. It's going to be higher than people think.
