  1. No this sum is due to the change in the 106 for Newmarket. The original plan was to build a community facility at Newmarket but with cloak and dagger tactics by the developer an agreement was made for th developer to provide this sum to go towards the upgrading of BV far less than the original plans but with the 2 million from the council and the 1.2 million committed by the club the 12 million package is now ready to start upgrading around 50% of the ground.
  2. Funding approved by Councillors hopefull next stage will be demolition of the East Stand from the 4th July https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/61813830
  3. Top fella he lived in Crofton when he played for Wakey, had a few beers with him in the #### and Crown he was a real character RIP Bill great to watch you at BV.
  4. Forgot to mention for all those coming over from Warrington this will be the last time you see the ground as it is before the bulldozers move into to start improving the ground
  5. I thought the defence against Hull was pretty good and but for some dodgy decisions i.e. the first Hull try off a way forward pass and one pulled back for Wakey. If Wakey can sharpen the attack then it could be a really good game against Wire who are shot of any confidence by the looks of things.
  6. Early reports dislocated lower limb looked like his ankle from the sidelines but I am no medic I am sure the full extent will come out after tests.
  7. Just watched the highlights on Sky and that first Hull try was an absolute joke the pass by Conner was way forward and the touchie was right there disgraceful officiating.
  8. So you have moved from relegation to facilities pick your agenda oh and just when did either fail to meet the criteria or is it more urban myth
  9. You do realise that I only switched Leeds for Wakey for a laugh
  10. 1 Wakefield 2 Saints 3 Catalans 4 Warrington 5 Hull FC 6 Huddersfield 7 Wigan 8 Hull KR 9 Castleford 10 Toulouse 11 Leeds 12 Salford Now that's more like it
  11. Not how it reads in the docs no payment of 8.8 million and no work can start on the warehouse. Its all linked into a delivery plan looks like this could be a belt and brace job on Yorcourt.
  12. Well the upgrade to BV has been passed the Council are now considering plot 8 at Newmarket which is the key to the majority of funding
  13. A link for anyone interested for this weeks activity https://www.insidermedia.com/news/yorkshire/stadium-works-and-commercial-development-set-for-approval
  14. Sorry I disagree with you here, firstly as a Wakey fan and living in the same district and council as Cas to say they should pull there finger out is down right rude. The politics locally with the LA etc has been a disgrace to say the least, Cas have a programme lined up at Glasshoughton but of course with everything in our district its all very complicated. However allowing you to justify your post what exactly should Cas, Wakey and any other clubs you are implying that are in unfit stadiums do then?
  15. Bizarre comment really sponsorship up and commercial side booming
  16. OK so again what are the rumours please about the future criteria for SL I have not heard any you have raised it now give us the info that not unreasonable is it? Or are you just making it up?
  17. So where is the answer to my question please what rumours are they? its not a complicated ask you have raised it now justify it.
  18. Here is a chomp then what rumours are you referring to then?
  19. Thanks for the words of wisdom this was planned at the old pit site at Sharlston but was binned by the council like all other applications.
  20. Yep and then its the small matter of that outfit parting with the funds once all planning is approved, we all know what happened last time and the local community is left with that massive eyesore in their back yard.
  21. Sorry they have been there and tried that on the old pit site at Sharlston let down by the Council again. No false promises you just believe what you want to believe forget about all the planning applications and promises by developers and the Council
  22. For anyone interested the plans submitted by Trinity to the LA for planning approval https://planning.wakefield.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?keyVal=QKB7D2QQJOS00&activeTab=summary
