Can anyone tell me why Briggs was penalised for a high tackle in the first play on the video when the keighley polayer clearly elbowed him in the face prior to hands being layed on him??

as it goes i meant by all accounts he played well, i am well aware he scored 2 tries. however scoring 2 tries doesn't automatically mean he had a good all round game

If things carry on as they are there won't even be a sport of Rugby League to watch in this country never mind a Featherstone Rovers I call SL pooper scooper league, not because i think it's a poor league but because the RFL have lost the real meaning of the word SPORT and defaced the name of rugby league by calling it Super League. That said many Rovers fans have NEVER had the chance to see our team at the top, don't you think they deserve to?????? I would go as far as to say my belief is if the current format continues the sport in this country will be dead in the next 10 years,(it's already startedon the slippery slope) all i'd like is to see us give it one go up there before i mourn the loss of the greatest sport ever created

A big well done to batley today Leigh are looking pretty ordinary of late without the pooper scooper league players they borrow. unfortunately i can't see them bringing many followers to ours, didn't even take many to Batley today and they should have expected to win that one being the team second in the table with only 2 league defeats

I might be wrong here but I think JJP's visa has to be re-applied for after a year, in which case there would have been no point giving him a longer contract at the time. If he does leave for another club over here i'm almost certain that the same rule applies and he has to re-apply with his new team being the sponsor for his visa. Any number of things however can stop him being allowed one, a rule that sticks out to me but may have been stopped now is that the player must play in at least 75% of matches he is eligible to play in (unless injured or suspended) or the visa will not be re-newed. That was the rule for non EU professional footballers playing over here upto last year anyway.

to be honest the players have looked very jaded to me for the last few weeks, and, although nobody was happy with the nrc debacle at Leigh which dumped us out i'm actually glad some of our "rivals" for a good final league position are playing and we get to rest so i for one am glad we can't get to that particular final
