  1. It's a doddle, don't know what you're talking about … https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Euro_2020_qualifying#Format
  2. There's a really quick link on 11v11 so it's not actually that hard when you're only checking the teams at the top of the division below. But, yes, also that.
  3. I like that one! I've checked - because I'm that sad - and if Bromley and Barrow come up then you're fine because you've played and beaten them. Halifax Town you can pretend are the same as the old Halifax Town. But you've never played Solihull Moors and they're third at the minute...
  4. Having avoided it for the simple reason that anything the Guardian promotes usually turns out to be terrible, I finally gave Derry Girls a go. I watched the first episode on Monday and polished off the last one yesterday. So I think that covers the fact that I enjoyed it immensely.
  5. It's an interesting list. Quick count, I've read 30 of them. But it's prompted me to plan to read a few more.
  6. It's because the EU is only able to set guidelines not laws. Shadow's answer is better though.
  7. I thought the first was surprisingly fun although also completely implausible (up to and including "yes, the terrorist mastermind uses his kids' birthdays as his phone password" (or whichever variation it was of that)), and the final episode didn't take the tension as far as it could have done. But fun. I will watch the new series. Currently watching Koreans kick each other in Vagabond and the French get existential in Ad Vitam, both on Netflix.
  8. Oh, it's a complete joke. They've utterly cocked up the whole thing. EDIT The terrifying thing is that VAR in the Premier League is a massive improvement on the insulting farce of VAR in the Women's World Cup.
  9. I'm sure you know this, but the handball rule has changed. It's not a case of "hits hand, penalty" ...
  10. And, to my slight surprise, I really enjoyed that. Even the hills that hurt. Made it round in 57:36 which was good enough for 96th place out of 185. Surrounded by serious runners though so pleased with all that.
  11. Maybe it's that then. It just seemed that everyone I knew seemed to be getting the same offer through and I'm sure we haven't all bought new iPhones since then. For what's on there now, 'free' would seem to be the best price.
  12. Apparently, if one has bought an iPhone ever (it seems) you get a year of Apple TV for free.
  13. Beckley 10k today. Apparently it is "hilly". I've found the Strava detail. I'm going with "WHYWHYWHYWHYWHY".
  14. Ashford 10k. Done. Chip time of 53:58 and a “gun” time of 54:44. I will very much take that.
  15. Ashford 10k on Sunday. It's meant to be a soggy one. I am getting my excuses in early and will blame the rain, whether it arrives or not, for my slow time.
  16. Not quite to my taste in all the roles/songs she did but there's been a lot of beautiful music from her on the radio today.
  17. Yesterday, just over eight months after the first run, I went out with Hastings Runners again. This time their more social Friday morning one (I was working from home and could fit it in whilst getting work done either side). 7k covered in an hour with lots of stops and a fair bit of chat. Not what I'm used to but it was fun and I'll be back again. Parkrun today.
  18. Really liked the first series. Second was interesting but not as good IMO.
  19. Possibly something of the politics board but ... today's front page 'story' in the Sun and what they have done to get it is beyond appalling. There is no public interest and it will obviously cause great harm and hurt to people. It's about, very tangentially, Ben Stokes and they have, like true heroes, waited until after the last press conference of the ECB summer before running it. Stokes's statement in response is remarkable for how measured and calm it is. I'd be happy lead a pitchfork wielding mob to burn down everything and everyone associated with the rag.
  20. I know. It was tremendous. I think my favourite bit is the obvious and clear cheer from the hall.
  21. Mate, the hall was filled with EU flags.
