  1. "Burns your scould" makes no sense unless that's some Gloucestershire slang that those of us who don't chase cheddar down hillsides can't understand.
  2. There's no decent coffee in England. What you had was a better quality of ######.
  3. Dunno, relying on dodgy interweb streams I couldn't find anyone doing the England-PI game and so didn't see any of it. Ian Robertson was impressed but that's not really an indication of anything. About to watch Scotland v New Zealand though - until it gets turned into Igglepiggle by a demanding child.
  4. Switch on the England-Pacific Islanders union this afternoon and you can catch up on your sleep with a lovely afternoon snooze.
  5. Are you going as Bungle, Zippy or George?
  6. And you don't even have kids as an excuse.
  7. I put my comment about the ref in Uninteresting Trivial Facts, which is where I try and contain my union opinions. There was a lot of standing about waiting ... I left well before the end. Some surprisingly good rugby in the first half mind but conditions were terrible. Rugby's a summer game, you know.
  8. If you could avoid blowing smoke up my bottom that would be appreciated. But thanks for your comments!
  9. Some winter rugby union "sportraits" ...
  10. Wish you'd been reffing the match I tried to watch this afternoon. Bloody freezing, driving rain, very dark skies & no cover (I was trying to take some photies!) -- I left midway through the second half because the referee was insisting on reffing it to the letter of the law.
  11. And very good they both were too.
  12. This evening I shall be mostly watching the Music Theatre Wales production of the new Michael Berkeley opera at the Linbury Theatre, Covent Garden. If I've time I'm off to the Annie Liebowitz exhibition at the NPG beforehand.
  13. A couple of snaps of last night's unexpected weather... Running for the train in a snow flurry Arriving and cowering in Chesham Both shots shutter priority, hand-held at 1/15, ISO 400
  14. That should tell you something.
  15. How do I get this board to tell the right time? I'm already set to GMT.
  16. Apparently the Arms Park is one of the most evocative names in rugby. Well, yes it is, Mr Inverdale, but only really when referring to the big ###### next door.
  17. Philip Glass - Heroes Symphony, Symphonies 2 & 3, Violin Concerto Box set from Naxos
  18. So was The Office at first. This is their second go at it isn't it?
  19. You're using some steady Australian talent?
  20. Little Ginger's birthday card was on CBeebies just before 7. It'll be repeated just before 1. I think I'll watch it again!
  21. Isn't two for fifty the same as three for seventy-five?
  22. A few London street shots 1. Barbers, Soho 2. Covent Garden 3. Soho 4. Baker Street tube 5. South Bank
