  9. Yesterday, while some friends and I were enjoying a curry at Rusholme in Manchester, the restaurant was raided by a large numer of police and UK Border Agency officers. Unfortunately, no tv cameras were present ... my street cred remains in minus figures.

  12. Today, I have had a home visit from the West Yorkshire Fire Service. They provided and fitted three smoke detectors free of charge.
