They have but the reserve team game only comes into it if the first team doesn’t have a fixture. -

I’m not sure what you mean he can’t play in it he’s banned but the reserve game will clear his ban. -

They’ll have plans I suppose we’ll see how it unfolds. I’m pretty sure though clubs get into negotiations sometimes without any intention to sign but to make sure a SL rival have to pay up to get a player. I’m not saying this is happening here as Wigan have been linked to him a few times over the last few years. It’s still worth baring in mind when these rumours come out. -
The argument could be those three teams are very good right across the 13 players. Whereas Leigh have a few players maybe at the lower end quality wise but 5/6 players who have been outstanding to make up for it. I can see the argument for Miski over Charnley and I’d probably go Mulhern over Amone. I think I’d back Asiata,Lam and Ipape to be in though.

Hasn’t there been another space added for home grown marquee players. -
Do you mean Wigan v Warrington.

I don’t think so you used checking catches as your example and because of the difficulty of checking them the soft signal still carries a lot of weight. Even in general for say LBW the soft signal will give more weight to whatever the umpire has said. So the 3rd umpire will use umpires call for any borderline decisions.

Cricket held a World Cup game at a ground with a tree in the pitch. It even had special rules for when the ball hit the tree. Let’s not pretend only RL allows these sort of quirks. Am I right I’m thinking RL has an optimum size that it wants its pitches to be. If I remember correctly it also says that all pitches should be as close as possible to this as the stadium allows.

I thought their ref has two different ways he can ask the question. One tells the tmo he thinks a try’s been scored and one tells him he doesn’t. I think the one you’ve mentioned means he thinks it’s a try and the tmo has to find something to cancel it. The other way to ask is “is it a try yes or no” which I think he uses when he’s unsure or has doubts. There is also another way but I think that’s to do with foul play and penalty try’s.

Isn’t he also looking to play fullback which isn’t going to happen at the Broncos.

No problem with that being 10 mins but where was that in the first half when the Warriors player was tackled without the ball in a try scoring position. -

First one especially was clearly forward out of the hands too. -
Sorry I’m obviously not being clear. The discussion started about the process of the VR in this country. Where the ref makes a decision and the VR has to find a reason to over turn it. When I say technically the same it’s this part of it I’m talking about. In the NRL the ref makes the call and the VR ref has to find a reason to overturn it. In both systems the refs opinion is given. How they go about it is completely different but by awarding the try or not the NRL ref is giving his opinion on what he thought happened.

I don’t see how that isn’t a sin binning would’ve been a try without his involvement. -

Game over -
Technically it’s exactly the same the ref makes a decision and the VR has to find a reason to overturn it. It’s just the players and fans can celebrate. It doesn’t take anytime out of the game unless he does find something. There are obviously down sides but it’s the least intrusive way of running the system.

It’s the same at every level responsibility lies solely with the clubs.

Read the post I’ve quoted by Dunbar. The 4th official manages the process but is not responsible for making sure clubs comply with the process. That is down to the clubs/teams themselves.
