Cant believe how little this has been mentioned as for me it beats every other suggestion on here by a country mile

With Jarome Luai arriving at Wests Tigers next year and being paid a massive salary, given the extraordinary talent of Lachlan Gavin, there will be no longer be a place at Wests Tigers for Turkish international and former Gold Coast, Canberra, Leeds and Huddersfield half back Aiden Sezer.
Expect Aiden Sezer to be on the player market for 2025 and available to play for a Super League club.
No thanks he was next to useless in SL.

When you say early promise I assume you mean the initial crowd numbers?
I said at the start of the year that by 6 winless home games in we will be way under 1000 home fans a game again....probably nearer 500
I know I won't be going again this year....rather watch Skolars in the Southern league and see a relatively competitive game. Plus I'll pick some choice northern games to go see
The only close-ish games we can even think of envisaging would be if teams do a 'Saints' and send down a youth squad because they fancy a bye and don't need the points
That’s a myth the Saints team that went down there was good enough to beat most teams in the league.
St Helens: Welsby; Swift, Naiqama, Percival, Grace, Richardson, Fages; Lees, Roby, Thompson, Paulo, Peyroux, Knowles.
that’s the team that lost to a drop goal.

Interesting the top coach ($1.5 million per year) gets more than the top player ($1.4 million).
Although I expect Ponga to earn more than Craig Bellamy when endorsements and sponsorships come into play.
Shows that if a top player can transition to a top class coach then the long term earning potential is significant.
I wonder what the comparison between top player and top coach is in the UK game.
In relation to this I was speaking with a young player the other week who is looking to buy a house. The bank would only let them have a 12 year mortgage as that is the expected career. Now to get round this if you do your coaching badges you can then get a normal 25 year mortgage. Just something I’ve never considered before.

1/ Saints v Hull KR premiership final Meninga at his best.
2/ Wigan v Manly WCC 87
3/ Saints v Bradford CC final 96 finally getting to see them win the CC cup. I was too young to go in 76 but did go to see us lose in 78,87,89 and 91. Plus plenty of quarter and semi final defeats.

Is the unthinkable a few weeks back going to happen? Leicester miss out on promotion? What has happened, they were walking away with the title, now collapse. What an amazing job McKenna is doing at Ipswich. When was the last time a team got promoted from L1 and Championship in consecutive seasons?
Norwich?.

I thought the final replay from the side (not the video ref replay, the one after) showed pretty clearly he got it down.
I think that and a couple of tackles by Makinson on Wardle may be looked at this week.

1978 Challenge Cup Final Leeds v St Helens.. my first wembley, a truly brilliant game in front of 96,000 , in the balance until the final hooter, and having watched it again numerous times , it stands comparison with any of the more modern day classics.
.
And all Noonan had to do was catch the ball.

Without a shadow of doubt the Saints v Sale cross code game.

Pretty predictable last four.
The first two ties could go either way for me. Home team slight favourites the other two I only see going one way.

I think it was OF who sabotaged the forum in view of the performance of Hull FC!
I can’t believe that otherwise this site would’ve been crashing every other week for the last few years.

Looked like he could have got his hand back on the ball before it was grounded and the ref sent it up as a try but guess what?
Getting your hand back on isn’t enough once you lose it you have to re catch it.

Great win by Salford. The job Rowley is doing and the way guys like Brierley and Sneyd are stepping up is something to behold.
As for Saints, I’ve only seen snippets of them before tonight. They’re a handful in the middle but they still don’t look hugely threatening when they move the ball wide. There’s a definite lack of pace in the side. On the plus side, it’s good to see Lewis Dodd finding some confidence/form.
Makes you wonder what Rowley would do with the Saints or Leeds squads.

Well done Salford they certainly play the game the right way and just wore Saints down in the end.

I'm maybe mistaken, but I've a memory of an international bonus putting a club over, maybe Wigan? There's every chance its changed since I suppose.
Saints went over when Ade Gardner (I think played for GB/England and his contracted bonus put them over.

I think I could have been clearer, but I would be very surprised if players contracts didn't include bonuses for playing/appearances, so if they don't play they get paid less. What club would offer a contract that had no incentive to play the game?
They do but it’s a tiny percentage of their wages.

I know that Hiku is responsible for the dissent that got him binned after this decision, but seriously folks in what world is this not a penalty for the defender preventing the play-the-ball, and in the process putting his opponent in a very dangerous position? No wonder Hiku was annoyed. Clear pen, and could have done his ligaments or worse.
If this had been correctly given as a penalty to Rovers and no Hiku sin-bin, and the result goes the other way. Terrible decision from a ref who was close enough to see it.
If think the ref was right nothing in it just a knock on by Hiku.
