  1. yeah that's what i meant. the clever ones with a phd in paleontology.
  2. why anyone reads them's beyond me - clearly targeting a certain demographic of RL fans
  3. -10 IMG points for having a catchment area restricted by ye olde city walls -15 IMG points for playing in a 10k capacity stadium and not filling it -10 IMG points for sharing their name with a popular board game
  4. But Catalans has been a great move for TomPkins professionally (and it sounds personally), i'm not sure Wigan could/would have carried him with his injuries and salary as well as Catalans have and he's been a joy to watch for them too.
  5. if i was buying a soccer club to improve the commercial future for my RL club i'd say exactly what he's saying. Perez is an RL nut, maybe he loves soccer too and he wants to grow both but my gut reaction is that this is hugely positive for Cornwall RLFC. Even better if it sidelines the rah rahs at the same time.
  6. Nope. Only seems to prioritise established SL clubs. Nobody else. Really don't see the point of it. Driving standards is great in theory but the system's bad.
  7. Crazy. 10 million people in the city, the capital and wealthiest city in the UK by far, with no competing RL club, wealthy owner, great stadium, great youth. They should be the kind of club IMG are rewarding and encouraging. Not knocking them down for poor social media reach or whatever other BS they've come up with. Below Barrow, Newcastle, Batley, Doncaster, Sheffield etc. etc.
  8. They're mostly full time but keeping a few players on part-time contracts as they have well paying jobs that they don't want to quit for 1 year as a pro in SL before their guaranteed relegation. IMGs system is poor imo when London don't get decent points considering their catchment area, good stadium and the unbelievable amount of local players in their squad.
  9. I think you can predict attendances to some extent then try and market/ push on top of that. Saints, Huddersfield, Leigh are big nos from me. Hull maybe but probably also no. Leeds and Wigan yes. Best Yorkshire and best Lancashire attendances pretty much guaranteed. Then just find a ground in south east or north east that's half decent and wants us/ won't charge a fortune. Shame Plough Lane isn't a bit bigger.
  10. The money / investment all seems super vague to me and Campbell's businesses look appalling on credit check sites. I'd be worried if I was a Fev fan about where this money's been coming from and how much debt you might be in unless you know differently.
  11. Who's the money man behind Fev? I assume can't be Mark Campbell looking at his recent businesses. If they don't have a wealthy owner they should be more like Batley surely not pushing for promotion every year?
  12. Polynesian Big Boppers sponsored by Brian Noble
  13. It’s not council owned, it would probably cost them about £200k a year to rent IF they wanted them in there. Also Bulls fans don’t want to play there, there’s some animosity between fans and the pitch is too small.
  14. We could have a Guscott V McMeeken one on one tackle comp at half time.
  15. Yeah that would be cool. Great city and location. Would smash some perceptions if on bbc too.
  16. You must live way south of London for it to take 4 hours. A coach from MK to Leeds is like £30 and takes max 3 hrs.
  17. I think it's good, Tonga are not the draw of NZ or Aus yet no matter how much we want them to be.
  18. Lewis needs to reign it in a bit. We don't want any more KR players getting picked for England.
