I think most see Hull FC as a sleeping giant and they've underperformed the entire time I've watched RL. I was too young to remember the early 1980s when both Hull clubs had much success and got big crowds so only really recall them from the late 80s.

For me it's quite obvious the culture in the club is wrong both on and off the field. This stems from the top, just look at Pearson's moaning and outbursts, and a succession of poor coaches who haven't sorted out the playing side. I often get the feeling that they look to take shortcuts and think that overpaid signings make up for not getting the basics right. Pearson seems to think that spending the cap is job done when the Wigan, Saints and Leeds of this world do that and a heck of a lot more on top. They need to invest behind the scenes and hire the right people.

At all levels Hull FC seem to have been a failing club. The academy merger was again the easy, cheap option. There has been nothing stopping Hull FC having an academy like Wigan or Leeds and the talent has been there. Anyone that has played Hull amateur youth sides in years gone by knows that.

Well we have won the challenge cup 3 times from 5 in new millenium and have had some good teams. I have no idea whats gone wrong lately but there are signs that things in the background are improving and the investment in the academy etc. is there.

This season has been pretty dire for one reason or another, performance of players, injuries and suspension . To me the biggest problem at the moment is we did not manage to sign a leader and or half back. We look a rabble on the pitch. Many do blame Pearson but I have to say if he goes we are in trouble. We do not seem to be competing with other clubs financially and I am not sure owning a stadium  is helpful or not.Depends on your backers and whether there is a chance of selling some of for housing.

We now need some stability as we have changed coaches too often. Thought Andy Last was just begining to see progress when  he was let go of. Also the remaining fans , me included, are now expecting us to fail and that does affect the atmosphere at games. Good job our noisy neighbours are so poor we can ignore them

  2. In the first 2 rounds there were offences that were punished a little excessively and one totally ridiculously. After that furore there was a move back to last seasons interpretation. Personally I think they may have moved a little too far too soon but it remains a fact that it has been inconsistently applied. Perhaps they are leaving more decisions to the MRP instead of stopping play for the video ref to have countless replays?

Boils down to jealousy. Because the club were successful others want to see it fail as they will never see their clubs reach them heights (See only 4 clubs winning the grand final) if we were rubbish nobody would care I am sure.

I don't agree, many fans have a lot of sympathy for the speccies but maybe not the people who ran the club into the ground

got to say the last bit is a straight red for me anyway... maybe if the game was still being played rather than half time the first one may have just been a penalty or a march 10m further (binning would also be fine by me) but calling the ref a cheat is a straight red surely.

Fair enough from me if he did say that. Some doubt as he denies it. Could easily been cleared up as the ref was miced up so others would hear what was said but not available to tribunal?

Those that haven’t were in the minority.

I have a vivid recollection of Masons first game as he walked down to the warm up drill area in front of Puig Aubert, in a jersey one size too small, wearing a girdle and then tripping over in the first passing drill in the coned off area.  Complete embarrassment to the profession.

Find this forum hilarious which is why I hardly ever post, I didn’t blame the officials for us losing. We did that perfectly well ourselves, but some of the decisions were disgraceful. He lost complete control unnecessarily, leading to both yellows.

Started with that stupid penalty for throwing a boot away, incredible level of arrogance for an official who has form for it.

About time ref's crack down on these pathetic plays. Think Revers got more from ref.

Glad revers willing to pay so much  for a transfer. Have they sold a few houses already?

I am glad you hardly ever post if your posts this afternoon are your standard

£14k came in today for the Community Share offer. That's how it will be for the "Peoples Club."

Salford rely on its supporters and the council, opposed to the typical meat factory merchants, financiers dealing with autocratic states, ambulance chasing solicitors, horse owners or construction bosses.

That £3m liability is mostly to a former owner and having been owed for more a decade,  I wonder how much urgency there is to pay it back. Probably as much as those industrial loans that various club owners generously oblige.

I am sure £175k affords as good or better.

Nationwide, John Lewis, Bayern Munich, CIS, Partick Thistle.

Erm it is a wide stretch to call partial supporter ownership "Socialism."

    But hey ho.

I heard the Salford Chairman had referred to Salford as a socialist city?

    Certainly capitalism rules at HKR

We're going over it again because the OP has an obsession on this issue, the post wasn't made in good faith but is an attempt to rake up old coals and position Rovers as a club with a unique problem. Pointing that out and providing other context is directly relevant as a result. Intent matters, and I'll call it out when I see it.

Do you not see that by calling Hull Fans neanderthalls and Muppets you are perpetuating the problem. All the OP  is asking is whether those in power at HKR should call out the no doubted minority of fans involved in this incident

When it gets wheeled out by FC fans with an agenda it takes on a different flavour than interesting reportage. That’s obvious.

Add it to the old thread if needs be, then we’d have the wider context of the discussion and not have to go through all the same loops yet again.

Maybe it is highlighted by Hull fans but it did happen to them and HKR seem serial offenders

God are we still banging on about this, after weeks and weeks? We did this to death at the time

People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, I've experienced just as bad - directly - from Hull FC fans. And other clubs.

    Move on.

If the news of any investigation is new the subject is a valid topic of conversation. I am not impressed by your dismissal of what I saw.

It doesn't matter whose fans they are these people should be held responsible for there actions
