It's vitally important that players learn a profession while still playing as there is life after playing the game, and very few will end up as full time coaches. I would like to see more taking up teaching to spread the word about our game through the schools.

Exactly John. This is all about a British tax exile wanting to use British taxpayers money for a stadium in Manchester, primarily for his football club, with a few other soccer games thrown in, in the soccer season.

His argument would have a lot more credence if he paid his taxes in the UK.

I do wonder if the original thinking about basing a PNG team in Cairns is to pique even more interest in Rugby League there, and it's already big in Cairns? Just saying.

You don't have to be Einstein to know that the next NRL club will be based in Queensland, so that would put a PNG team based in Port Moresby out of the picture for the time being, unless their is a change of heart.
