  2. I suspect the double entendre of #findourballs was deliberate!
  3. P and r 1 up one down for me, Toulouse in and protected for five years. Champ grand final will be massive, cru promoted within 3 years!
  4. All I've seen is the usual guff from the usual suspects. This forum has become very stale so I'll think I'll leave you to your echo chamber for a while.
  5. Sigh. Yet another positive post hijacked by the egos. Cue more pointless ranting that no one reads.
  6. Posts like this from the wrexham footy site, redpassion, make me wish we really do stick at it in wrexham. maybe an historical opportunity. "To be honest its not feeling like a tough decision. If i'm perfectly honest I didn't feel that bad at 4.45pm on Saturday, think I'd been expecting the loss. Now when I look back at how gutted I felt at 9.00pm on Saturday then that tells me that I'm deffo being led into a new sporting passion. I had never EVER watched a game of rugby league in my life before our opener against Leeds, I don't even watch the 6 nations cos rugby didn't do it for me. However, after that first game I was somewhat hooked. Me, my hubby and 2 kids have been Wrexham season ticket holders for the last 6 years and every season it feels more like going to the dentist rather than an enjoyable few hours supporting our once good team. Watching the Crusaders is a whole new ball game, literally.... The atmosphere is fantastic - no negativity about the place (unless you get blatant, ###### officials - which is very rare compared to every game with the footie!!) but more importantly the players play like they should, they look like they care!! They look and act like they appreciate every single supporter, after every game they give back the applause to the crowd - every little thing like that makes it slightly more enjoyable at the moment. So, yes... as you say following two teams that don't set the world alight is hard really, especially for my youngest son who gets so much ###### off his school mates for supporting Wrexham and for not being a glory hunter and supporting a Prem team, but it just means that following one is a damn sight more enjoyable than the other one... and yes I'll still be there tomorrow night but unfortunately I won't be cheering as loudly as I will do on September 4th. And if that means that I'm being led over to the dark side then so be it.... And I'm sorry that I'm no good with words but you can get my point - i think!"
  7. yeah heaven forbid that should ever introduce any evidence into an argument. your head would explode.
  8. you may or may not have a point although you seem to be guessing as much as anything. its the instant negativity on any thread that even dares to paint any part of our game in a positive light. over and over again and its always league fans! I'm telling you it comes across really badly, not as you will ne doubt reply as people just speaking their minds yadda yadda but whiny and negative. We slag off rightly wilson for being a miserable old get but he writes something nice and here we are again, let alone undoubtedly negative comments on his blog which i have stopped reading because of the predictable moan moan bloody moan cheer up you northern buggers, its a great game!
  9. rugby league must have the highest percentage of miserable barstewards of any sport anywhere. as a relative newbie its gets depressnig i can tell you.
  10. It can be a bit mixed although i do enjoy some of it, the important thing is that a lead in time draws in more casual viewers and reflects on the status of the sport and the final.
  11. I think the france vs wales games in years to come are going to be crackers and we should push each others development and hopefully play each other at every level generating intense rivalries. I think it will do france the world of good to have wales pushing them rather then them getting a shot at the big boys by default. Make them work for it and they are better prepared to step up, at least to a degree. A regularly competitive wales and france and you watch the international game go! So frustratingly close. I hope we make it and the heartland naysayers can see just how important that would be to the health of the game long term. Imagine an international game where wales, france, png, england, australia and nz were on realitvely equal terms! Everything done to bring that about is worth it imo.
  12. Pretty handy this, hopefully help to get a good turn out for the wales games in north wales. http://www.leaderlive.co.uk/news/92116/fli...gby-league.aspx
  13. I thinks its a pretty good initial idea. Just depends on how much money the rfl make from a standalone wcc. My only dream is that we have a wcc with the usual cracking, brutal game with 30k and is not moaned about about by the "whats the point" crowd.

  15. The injustice of last week will be rectified by the fired up boys of the mighty Cru. Saints will wilt under such an onslaught! Justice for nobby!
  16. oh mate the entire product is a big pile of ######- premier legue or world cup. awful - but people do believe the hype. it still strikes me that a little corner of the world doesnt and surely league, the far better and more honest and breathtaking product, has something to do with that?
  17. quality alternatives that sell out. Fact is that in wigan the easiest way to watch the biggest league on the planet is the dw stadium. and they dont. plenty of people in cardiff and even plymouth follow other teams but if either team got into the prem they would say out. pure and simple
  18. i agree mostly. sometimes circumstances means we do the right thing and i hope it continues. to be honest im still seething over how steve was treated by the bbc at the last challenge cup. cursory doesnt cover it. im not totally down with the bbc are ru biased stuff but if that was a ru player having just ridden and rowed from south france it would have been a three part documentary at least. hopefully this will give the bbc a chance to rectify that to some degree.
  19. percentages schementages. its the bloody premier league!
  20. do they go down - i thought the thursday night games were getting decent crowds? should do for the cracking rugby league we get to see.
