Oh that's ######. What happens to me is:
I go to bed and say ooooh, I'll get up at 4:45 to watch boxing.
My alarm goes off at 4:45 and I go ###### THAT IT'S BLOODY LOVELY IN HERE!!!!
I admire those with more motivation than me, but I know my weaknesses and this is one of them.
That's exactly why im better staying up, get a few bevvies in and make a night of it...as ive found previously with early scheduled boxing or rugby league games, with all the best intentions/will in the world, when the alarm goes off at 5am, your brain says "no way, pal - this is the weekend"

I wasnt sure if i could be harrised staying up till 5 to watch this...but im a bit intrigued....i think fury brings that to a bout
-
Loll..."macc and me" remember watching that at the cinema when i was a kid...thought it was terrible even then....the alien communicated by whistling and was addicted to coca cola
-
Bless bellew...he was doing so well early on but once the fight got to halfway you were waiting for the inevitable...caught with a big left, goodnight vienna

A little something i tried tonight which i recommend...i have a 15yr old glenfiddich which is lovely and sherry sweet....for some daft reason i opted to squeeze the juice of a couple of tangerine segments into the glass...the result is all the original flavour but the sharp alcohol edge taken off which results in a smooth flavour....this whisky is sweet and fruity anyway but not sure how it would go with the smokier, peatier drams

agreed - surprised its PPV, would have been prime for BT (bit disappointed it's not on there actually)

7th i think

Good turnaround from AJ...an upset was looking on the cards initially but as the match went on he eased into it....caught him with a couple of belters at the end

AJ had a wobble in that 1st round

Shared a half size bottle (only got two wee drams each out of it mind) of glenfiddich 15 .... Had forgotten how nice this stuff is....much better than the 12 and personally preferable to the 18...a nice, sweet fruity flavour to it....think my next purchase will have to be the full size bottle

It's probably worth pointing out to those not in the know, that one of the biggest boxing matches in the world will be between two amateur boxers.
KSI vs Logan Paul will be huge but amongst largely non-boxing fans. KSI's previous fight against Joe Weller was viewed 23 million times on Youtube and had 1.6 million viewers live. Logan Paul has way more subscribers than Weller (17m to 5m), is more well known as a result of his recent idiocy and as a result the fight is being held at the MEN.
I'd never heard of KSI until I saw a Mayweather video where he was at their gym, it's like a whole different world that has passed me by!
When will this be and how can we see watch (other than attending)

Joshua just kept parker at bay with jabs, the kiwi couldn't really get near him
-
bit meh really....glad I didn't pay for it
-
Browne made himself easy meat tonight....bizarre strategy.....the knock out was brutal, feared for the worst the way he went down and stayed down too....hope he's ok

cant understand the premise of drinking cold whisky?....always seems like the warmth is what you seek out of the drink, surely serving it at room temp aids in releasing the vapours for you to soak in through the nose as you're drinking it

have you tried a wee dram of each of them yet? If so, it would be interesting to find out which one you prefer.....I've tried all of them and would say my order of preference would be the Ardmore (if it's the 12yrs old one it looks like?), Laphroigh then the Talisker Skye
-
think Tesco are also doing highland park for roughly the same price....much better Imo, fruity/spicy rather than peaty/smoky

If you're new to whisky, be alert to the fact that Laphroaig is one of the most polarising malts you can buy.
I love it, and many do, while some other whisky fans run a mile.
yep, TCP alert!
tbf I don't mind it these days but initially thought it too "medicinal" for my palate

As for my bottle of 12yo Cardhu, I think "diappointing" is the best description. Certainly not worth the extra dosh. I won't be repeating that mistake.
the gold reserve is a bit "meh" too

Been given 2 bottles of single malt for the first ever time , so I'm only allowed it with water ?
you're allowed it any which way you like, some recommend neat (me), others suggest one piece of ice, others will say a separate container of water to sip in between the whisky sips

Aldi Glen Marnoch Islay at £17 is a cracking buy. I "sipped" half a bottle last night
not tried that, have tried the highland one which was ok, the speyside is the one that won awards and I think aldi have rereleased it prexmas
re talisker Skye, I have a bottle given to me by my boss as a Xmas gift, its very smoked oaky, not really my bag....was a bit miffed as he got me old puteney last year which went down a treat, still gift horse/mouths etc etc....
