  1. Or is this just Whitehaven mind games again,
  2. I think the other 15 lads might have something to say about that.
  3. Exactly, and not everyone works in the Shipyard.
  4. Silva was being looked at by the Physio before the warm up, he looked uncomfortable and it was pretty clear there was something not quite right and so I suspect it wasn't worth the risk.

    v Rochdale

It was the very same man, it appears he seems to know where all the best pie shops are wherever he plays.
  6. I love it when you're not right.

In a way I think you are correct but, a number of Championship coaches have gone down the road of the more mobile forward with mixed success, take a look at the Town site from a couple of years ago and it was clear it didn't work. The really big forwards do tire quickly but at the same time make a real impact taking 3 or 4 defenders with them, if we had a couple of lads as big and athletic as Joe Bullock then that would be the perfect compromise but remind yourselves of some of the monsters we were up against last season and the damage they did to our defence. I think what I'm trying to say is I don't have a clue which is the best option, were we to sign a couple of massive Tongans I wouldn't be disappointed, thank god I'm not the coach.

    Which one was he ?
  9. It's not surprising his expenses were so high.
  10. Me too, Penrith kicked out on the full from the kick off and Frano Boticca converted the penalty from the half way line, from then Wigan were always in front, it was a great night out. 32yrs ago? I must have been very young.

    24 Squad

I think he struggled a little with his fitness level, so hopefully he will be ready to go this coming season. I'm not convinced he should be our first choice half back but he is a pretty good fill in player, I'm glad he is being rewarded with a contract, and if he wants to prove me wrong and he does become the first choice then I'm even happier.
  12. I think, sadly, no they won't be the last.
  13. I know he has been a regular at Craven Park throughout this season, so if his suspension is up then I'd love to see him back in a Barrow shirt, by attending as a fan he is showing us how he feels about us. Sign him up!
  14. He got 4 years so yes another year to go.
  15. This may be stating the obvious but if there is one thing we have learned this year is we cannot have enough players registered and without the locals, especially the amateurs, things would have been much worth. It's sad to see that the majority of players leaving appear to be the local core and unless there is a plan we are not aware of we might find ourselves in the same battle next season, the locals bring in more supporters and were prepared to bust a gut for their home team, something we don't always get from the out of town players.
  16. I can see him now in the shed on his own singing at the top of his voice, "Ryan is having a party the Raiders are in the bin". Great effort fella.
  17. Just before kick off a bloke told me he was off to Keighley, but as they have just been relegated is that the reason he wants to stay, does anybody know the true story.
  18. From a very reliable "source". Until 15mins ago I hoped he was wrong but now it's not important. It looked like Cresta was going to do a Bobby Goulding and pull on the shirt just one more time.
  19. I heard today we are down to only 17 fit players for tomorrow. It feels awful but Haven have just lost and we all know what that means, I can't believe I wanted a French team to win but I can ask for forgiveness in the morning.
  20. This was an Eddie Waring classic "he's tired both physically and er,er all the other ways", what a wordsmith.

Obviously resting him for the play offs.

    Swinton H

I think it was 2,100. Only a handful were from Swinton.
  23. I was going to say I'll get you a pint next time you come down to Craven Park but that won't be for quite a long time as you are going to be up there with the big boys, and well deserved it's been a long time coming.
  24. I'd love to agree with your comment but this is the last chance for surviving the drop into League 1, because of that you would expect them to give it everything they have and as we have seen all season the results are pretty unpredictable. This weekend is going to be nerve wracking.
  25. I don't think even Wayne Bennett could have done any better this season given the huge number of injuries, we've had 40 players this year with a number of them being from the amateur ranks. Against Swinton they played really well despite the problems and therefore deserved the reception but you cannot keep that up week in and week out. Give Cresta the tools and he can do a good job.
