Total madness that Lezignan v Limoux clashes with the Dragons today.

I popped into Lezignan yesterday morning en-route to Spain and did a little video for my you tube channel.

Thinking about going to Carcassonne now on Sunday

    P

Let me know of you need any tickets!!! I'll leave them at the entry if you want some,

Limoux after their loss at home to Albi are going to find it difficult now to get a home a draw in the play-offs. Going to Lezigan tomorrow and away to leaders Carcassonne as well.

Lézignan play Albi in Albi the last game of the season, Carcassonne have to go to Pia and play limoux at home,  25th march on via Occitanie for the Carcassonne v limoux game, Saturday 5 th march at 6pm Carcassonne v Lézignan in the cup, limoux play the same day at 15h against st Gaudens and villeghailanc play on the Sunday at home against Albi.

88 to 6 Carcassonne v Carpentras, 88 to 0 limoux v Lescure, 78 to 22 ferrrals v Pia, villeghailanc have beaten Toulouse 44 to 24 (or something like that, Albi won easily v Villeneuve, Avignon beat the Catalans, st Gaudens 30 Villefranche 20

    So next round is

    Carcassonne v Lézignan

    Avignon v Pia

The other side of the draw is

    Limoux v st Gaudens

    Villeghailanc v Albi

    4/5 march

I think that's almost how the federation wanted it!! It was almost a seeded draw to make sure that 4 of the top 5 make the semis

Neither of those two facts seem particularly worth celebrating - unless I'm missing something ??

    For eg:

Why on earth if L'équipe is covering/filming the game online would they not also show it on their terrestrial TV channel??

And if Bein has walked away, does that mean they no longer show NRL and SL matches as well??

L'équipe live will be showing sky feeds, bein still shows the NRL (free) the super League games where part of the showing Catalan games deal so they no longer sjo Super League, (catalan paid the production costs for bein)

  6. Some good tight games last weekend, st Gaudens have a very small squad and their u19s only play low level 9 a side so they can't really call on their 19s, Villeneuve have now two wins in a row, they have a decent team in paper and most games are tight until Villeneuve drop off a little in the second half,

  7. Yes that's the rule so Carcassonne go to Carpentras and Lézignan to Entraigues, if they both win they meet in the quarters at Carcassonne, the draw is already made as a flow chart, it's like they do for darts and tennis, takes the excitement out of it a bit and it's set up for a Carcassonne/Lézignan v Pia in the semi,  limoux are on the other side and should meet Albi in  the semi's if it all goes to form.

Not Elite 1, but it looks like the Montpellier Sharks, after their initial fanfare, have packed in https://treizemondial.fr/les-sharks-de-montpellier-encore-forfait-general/. Hopefully the Montpellier Diables Rouges can pick up some of their players.

They don't have any players, that's the problem 😁. Phantom club that keeps coming back and doing exactly the same thing, big announcements, massive partners but no ground, no players and no money. It's almost a virtual social media team,

3 points for a win, 1 point bonus for the losing team if the margin is less than 12.

Yes and 2 points for a draw after golden point,

The statman has just sent the info and Mitch Garbutt for st Gaudens, 30 hit ups for 292 metres and 19 tackles, he played the full 80 minutes at prop 😳(and  8 offloads) he did miss 2 tackles though 😁

  10. The only place RL gets fans in the northern hemisphere is down the m62 corridor and a few thousand in the south of France, maybe it tells you something about our game, nobody is really interested unless they're born into it,

Toronto managed to get crowds but was too far away,

Toulouse are  struggling and have a great set up, but  fans only turned up for the derby or the final when they where playing for something, maybe our game is really struggling and we all have rose tinted spectacles and believe the game is popular because we live in a heart land and it's all over the local papers, and the rugby league websites run by passionate league fans.

Travel outside the m62 corridor and nobody really cares or knows about league, it's the same in France.

Looks like we're in a very bad situation, but who cares I can go to my local derby and see the same people I always see and watch the local players and a few Aussies playing the same local players they play 3 times a season.

Could it be a local game for local people, change is not good!

Who is Carca’s 7 - absolute shi**ouse approach to get involved there. Hit FCL’s 4 on the sly and backed off.

A fiery young Catalan lad, he's been spoken too by his coach, well out of order what he did but bienvenue en France, it used to be flying kicks to the knees from behind but it's calmed down a lot now,

Only people banned are the number 6 who threw the first punch and the two captains as they failed to control their players 🤔, they used to send captains off after a brawl, that's why teams used to put the winger as captain in the olden times ,😬😁

Looks like a lot of games are being postponed due to the snow.

PS: Any news from the French AGM?

I've heard too many people to discuss anything seriously, tables of 15/20 people discussing different topics, and I've seen a photo of old people eating, as always at these things 😁
