  1. Yes it is it’s your club begging to another clubs supporters to turn up because you can’t raise enough support on your own. Not just another club one who’s fans a few on this forum have a deep dislike of.

Embarrassing the way your club are “begging” Haven fans to go tomorrow.
  3. What a sad and bitter individual. This coming from a supporter of a club pleading for Haven fans to travel to the game tomorrow to help save YOUR club. Thanks for making my mind up I’ll give it a miss now.
  4. Is it not set up so they don’t have to travel to Hull or outside the county offering an alternative to all the travelling?
  5. And Curtis Davies would have made a big difference to you but the Messiah didn’t rate him.
  6. There’s no doubt it’s a thankless task and I wouldn’t do it for a carriage clock but your problems probably haven’t happened overnight and may be the reason you were left with so few on the board at the start of the season. Looking from the outside it appears to be the lack of communication from your Board that is the problem and is frustrating the fans hence the “whinging” as you call it. There would probably be a more sympathetic response if the Board opened up to the fans.
  7. The meeting on Friday said Havens budget was the lowest in the Championship at £156000.
  8. Thanks. So it could be about anything then
  9. Where does it say the Haven meeting is about financial issues please?
  10. Can anyone tell me the attraction of a merged club outside of the top 2 divisions or the only 2 divisions as is it may become? Watching Cornwall, West Wales etc is a no go for me. If it happened now do we end up with a rebrand of one club playing at either Town or Haven? Please someone explain how that is an improvement on what there is now? Likewise as has been discussed many times starting afresh where? Money?
  11. It is a sad state of affairs but I’m afraid Haven’s injury list this season has left them with no other option. Both hookers out for a year. Halfback and fullback out for most of the season, centre out for the season all with serious injuries plus the usual bumps and bruises. From an initial squad of 24 doesn’t leave you with much.
  12. Took the fear of relegation to get Huddersfield off the bottom of SL last time there was no promotion and relegation. The same clubs remained at the top and the same over the hill, overpaid overseas players plied their trade in SL.
  13. Using West Cumbrian kids. Pathetic crowds, good job they have a sugar daddy.
  14. Still waiting on you telling me how SL has grown and improved the game. So far a few community programmes. Is that it?
  15. So after 25 years “a few” SL clubs have some good community programmes. Surely they all should have them? SL was supposed to make us more of a match for the Aussies at International level. Tell me how that worked out. SL broke away, appointed its own CEO and negotiated its own deals. That went well didn’t it. SL was pure and simple born out of greed by the big clubs. Nothing has changed since other than the quality of the product has declined and the gap between the haves and have nots is larger. If the future of the game is watching some of the dross served up by SL plus endless loop fixtures then God help us.
  16. Yes. What has SL done to expand/promote the game? Ditched Paris St Germain Ditched Celtic Crusaders Ditched Toronto Wolfpack Whinged about two French teams. Almost killed off the Challenge Cup Accepted sponsorship deals to stick pictures on wagons/get free pizzas. The last 25 years have been about the big 6 or so looking after themselves and b#@$*r the rest. So flip the coin and tell me how SL has grown and improved the game instead of blaming the people that support the game.
  17. Except for rugby league. Nothing super about super league, the so called promised land of Lindsey’s has seen the sport decline at all levels.
  18. We had a team from Canada in it but SL got rid of them. What has Super League done to spread the game, make the competition more competitive, or make the game more popular? Apart from wanting the full pot of money to themselves I would suggest nothing. If the standard of rugby produced by full time players in SL is the way forward then there’s more excitement watching paint dry.
  19. BSkyB told us SL was the promised land 26 years ago. Millions of pounds later SL is now a boring version of what was a great game. The most competitive and enjoyable competition is the Championship which comprises, in the main, of part time teams. 26 years, millions wasted, number of teams varied, fixture formula chopped and changed, franchise models tried all have failed to spread or develop the game. The same handful of teams contesting the same competitions every year. Why oh why do people believe that we should bow to what a broadcaster wants when what they wanted last time has failed spectacularly?
  20. The ref blew for a penalty and the hooter went right after that. They obviously have to play the penalty before the game ends. The ball steal by Walker was just that. There was 2 men in the tackle and one jumped off to let him steal. You can’t do that this season, the law changed. The way King was limping after the game suggested it was more than cramp.
  21. He’s not a Director he’s a fan.
  22. Only the top Championship clubs were on that. The bottom end wasn’t near that. I seen it somewhere before the season started last year as we were classed as newly promoted and at the bottom of the scale.
  23. We all know it makes sense but are they not wanting to make two SL’s of 10 in each and cut the rest adrift? The game is screwed and if it goes that way then neither of us will survive I’m afraid as there will be no future for us.
  24. I know you didn’t. I’m just saying it’s a shame as it’s a growing problem for these fixtures as a lot of good fans of both clubs are put off travelling to the away fixture.
  25. Unfortunately there are a minority on both sides that spoil it for the majority and “banter” is not sufficient for them. Spoils the occasion as fans from both sides refuse to travel either way because of it. Sadly stewards at both grounds seem reluctant to do anything about it.
