  1. Brilliant performance by Barrow and I think we took 300-400 fans and often were louder then there fans, cracking performance by Barrow COYR.
  2. Well we have just set off on the 9:50 train and I would say about 120 barrow fans just on the first train. Also we have cars traveling and have a coach on the way up as well looking forward to a good game.
  3. Looking like one of the strongest teams of the year to be putting on the pitch, really looking forward to it.
  4. Hakim Miloudi is back for Barrow this week, so I don’t know if this will have any bearing on if Costello will be back.
  5. Should be a good game and I am looking forward to it. Always seems to be a close game between us and for the derby form goes out of the window. Last time you played at home you beat London and they are not a bad side although they struggle to win it seems. Barrow have Miloudi back with Ritson and we also have a much needed prop incoming. Adding to that as previously mentioned we have Sammut, Forster and Stack so I think we will have a bit too much for town but should be a decent game and I could be wrong. I am going to go for a Barrow win 34-16 with Ritson the first try scorer. See yous Sunday. COYR.
  6. We have signed Catalans Dragons forward Mathieu Cozza on an initial 28-day loan!
  7. Looking forward to Sunday ! What are peoples thoughts on the score ? I am going to go for Workington 16-34 Barrow, Ritson first try scorer. Looking forward to seeing Miloudi in a Barrow shirt again with Ritson. Also been put on Barrow twitter about a French signing, so find out later on who that is.
  8. Yeah it’s going to be a big game for Workington as really they need to win. You beat a London side which pushed York all the way which shows you are no push overs. Looking forward to seeing Miloudi back on the pitch
  9. Yeah looking forward to the game. I shall be travelling on the train, I would imagine we shall outnumber the amount of Workington fans that were at the last Barrow vs Workington game .
  10. Brilliant crowd with disappointing numbers in my opinion from Widnes. Thought they usually brought 400 or so. On the pitch you can’t ask for much for than that. Well done barrow, roll on Workington
  11. Marty costello is in the squad for tomorrow as well as Forster.
  12. Yeah I saw that actually! It’s also Miloudis last game of being banned and then back for the Workington game. Going to be a tough game against Widnes but they are there for the taking
  13. Going to be a tough game on Sunday but if we get anywhere near the performance yesterday then it should be a win. Hopefully we get another good crowd ! These crowds are impressive this year. If we keep these attendances up then we should be able to get a very good squad for next season.
  14. Massive loss for us. I was hoping we would see him at Barrow for the rest of the year, we have never replaced the Walne brothers from the start of the year which is costing us. As has been said though it is hard to get replacement players in once the season has started. Hopefully we can get someone in before weekend but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
  15. Very hard to see us winning this game with the clear quality that Leigh have and after Dewsbury it looks like we have a lot of knocks. Very hard for part time teams to play twice in 3 days, so I think rest out key players and get them fresh for Widnes.
  16. A win is a win and I’ll take the points. The first win at Dewsbury in 18 years, so it shows it’s not an easy ground for us. Think towards the end of the game we had lots of knocks and injuries so did well to grind out the win. Well done Barrow.
  17. Good win by Barrow yesterday ! It was a game of two halves, second half we just had far too many incomplete sets to compete, But thankfully we won the first half 22-0. It was important to get back to winning ways after a tough run of fixtures. This is also a team that was missing Sammut, Langtree, Wheeler, Shaw, Miloudi and Holmes. That being said the team on the pitch did well yesterday and got the result. Now on to Dewsbury away next Sunday in a tough game as they will be really wanting the win.
  18. A player of proven quality to bring in for this weekend. He can provide the cover in the centres in which we need desperately at the moment. Not a fan of these short term loans as it’s very much like Duel reg but needs must at the moment I guess.
  19. Well this is absolutely terrible news for us, he is one of our key players. Time for Carter and Johnson to step up I guess.
  20. Yeah at least with us having that bad patch at the moment it will keep the points down against you on Sunday . Anyways it’s sure to be a tough game for both teams, we are both desperately wanting a win. Is there many of you travelling down on Sunday ? Yous usually bring a good following !
  21. It’s always going to be a tough game against Workington, but our run of games recently are about as hard as you get. It’s time Barrow get back into winning ways and we have two very winnable games upcoming with Workington and Dewsbury. I am going to go for a Barrow win 34-16, Stack first try scorer and hopefully a good crowd ! Workington usually travel in good numbers but just wondering how that will be affected with the current form. COYR
  22. Another tough game for Barrow coming up tonight against the inform York. The only teams they have lost to in the league is Leigh and Featherstone which shows the quality side they are. That being said Barrow have held there own this year and I’ll be honest I have a odd feeling we may just pull off a shock tonight. Jack wells is back at Barrow and should be playing tonight and that will add some power to the pack and added to that York have a reasonable journey to get here. I am going to go with a Barrow win for tonight 28-20, with the first try scorer being Ritson and the MOM Stack. COYR.
  23. A prop has been signed from Wakefield on loan for two weeks. A prop is what we have been crying out for in recent weeks and is a very welcome addition to the squad !
  24. Well done to Fev, this game was always going to be a very tough game with 5 days rest and the obvious quality they have all over the field. Fev are a team that Barrow should model themselves off, they have been building the team and infrastructure for years and it’s going to take time to get to that point. People at Barrow with Steve Neale leading are doing a cracking job, off the field they are organising lots of events bringing in brilliant income. Crowds are averaging almost 2k, we are doing very well as a club and give it a few more years to get may be in the position of Fev. keep your heads up Barrow, you are doing us proud. If someone offered me 11 points at this stage in the season I would bite there hand off. Halifax next week is what we should aim for as they are out of sorts.
  25. It’s going to be a very hard game, one due to the little amount of rest between playing games and two as Fev team is super league standard. A respectable score will keep me happy, but that being said we are going there with absolutely nothing to lose so you never know
