  1. I'm going to my first Wire home game of the season in a fortnight, That's when it will kick in.
  2. It could do him good but for every Jamie Lyon, there's a Todd Carney, Dave Taylor, Chris Sandow, Ben Barba etc etc etc.
  3. Conversation overheard on the 77 back to Tooting Broadway: "Who was the number 4 who kicked all the goals?" "Ratchford." "Rashford?" "No, Ratchford." "And does he play for England?" "Yes." "And he's the Fly Half?" "Yes the Fly Half." It made me smile after a very good day out at the Cherry Red. Two for one cocktails in Tooting Broadway Market and back home in Leyton by 6.30. Roll on 11th August for the loop fixture.
  4. Something found alongside rosebay willowherb, syringes and glass?
  5. My dad's team. Have you fallen out of love with the Chemics Spidey?
  6. They need to really gear up to succeed in Super League.
  7. Les Boyd, Kevin Tamati and Alan Rathbone playing together gave a triple threat. Jim Mills and Glynn Shaw have been mentioned - the latter knocked Dave Chisnall out cold with one punch right in front of me on a Boxing Day or New Year game at Wilderspool when he was playing for Wigan. Len Casey was another one who had an aura of don't mess with me about him.
  8. From experience, Chris Hill plays much better without the responsibility of captaincy. Whitehead would be my choice but Welsby may be an inspired one
  9. That's a shame if true. At least it was their year in 2015 and 2017.
  10. Warrington Wolves have a handball team. In before gingerjon.
  11. I got the same result as you Jon and I never use Google to search for fooball - men or women.
  12. It wasn't quite that bad - although it felt it at the time. The score at the Stoop in 2009 was 60 -8. Two years and two Challenge Cups later we won at the Stoop 82 - 6 with Dan Sarginson getting Broncos' try. As far as I remember that was the only time we put 80 on the Broncos, who could still put 60 on us the week before the 2012 Challenge Cup Final.
  13. Always liked him as a player in the NRL, for Scotland and even for Saints and KR. Have there been any better terrace songs of the last few years than the 'She's Electric' one that Saints fans sang?
  14. He played Albert Goldthorpe - in a none too flattering portrayal - in The First Kangaroos. Maybe Dean Buchan sees himself as a latter day Goldthorpe.
  15. The Grand Final is on my 60th birthday. I've supported them since 1971 and seen them win Challenge Cups, come top of the league and win a Premiership, so I really want to believe that it's finally our year, but I'm definitely not going to jinx it by saying it will be. I'm just enjoying the season so far and hoping for the best.
  16. I'm confident that we'll do better than last year.
