Both far from flush,both ratching round for SL kids on very short term loans, both with falling crowds and an amature scence far from what it used to be. I think with our new stadium in workington it will be first choice in the future for these kind of fixtures.

The threads about rebuilding for next season johny Ringo. I do believe that could be hindered by better players moving to our neighbours. No sour grapes at all. Town, (as suspected before the season even started), quite simply not good enough and not equipped for the championship. Stick to the thread marra.

You have to bear in mind that our neighbours have been the best of a bad bunch and scraped survival. So they may pick off some town players.

I think everyone accepts the BOD are hard working volunteers who give up their spare time to run the club. However if you put yourself in that position you do put your head above the parapit and may face criticism.

Good luck to them on the long journey. I predict they'll match London for the first half then London with pull away and win by 20.

It's happened a far bit this season. Putting 30-40 minute performances in then crumbling.

Ok jhonny if you think you have a conveyer belt of championship players in South Cumbria then thats good. I do think if you are being a bit optimistic though

Yeah you have definitely been unlucky with Injuries but any squad has to be able to deal with injuries.

Haven will stay up as town and rams are well short for this league. Barrow are going well but no conveyer belt of championship standard local players and some getting on plus 2 or 3 on SL clubs radar will make it difficult for them. They can all do 2 or 3 years max but it then fizzles out. Always has always will. In your own words haven 6th last season.

Lads can only give 100% and good luck to them. I predict loss by 30 to 40 points. If anything positive can come from this season its that its a real eye opener and clear proof that The whole concept of RL in workington needs rethought and a long term plan put in place. I got jumped on for saying on here 18 months ago that I didn't thing cumbrian clubs can sustain championship rugby nowadays and was told you have to have ambition. Well yeah you do need ambition but you also need to be able to match that ambition
