  1. That was the most interesting message I've ever read on this Forum. What players we've had over the years. I guess nobody's old enough to include some of the players from the great 50s side or even the Wembley side of 1967
  2. We also received phone call. Much appreciated
  3. On holiday but from BBC Sport website tries were scored by Duffy-2, Toal, Puera = 1 more and 6 kicks from Daly. I agree cracking result. i
  4. Many thanks Ron and I picked up most of the match and scorers on Wwitter but I think tegate was dissapointing. Got the tail end of Dennis on Atlantic and it is wind.
  5. From some distance away. What is the score, the corers and the gate.
  6. I presume it will be played next Sunday because we have no match and I don't suppose Skolars have. The next round is 2 weeks today, I think.
  7. I watched iton YouTube after the game and the sound was fine. It might still be on YouTube.
  8. I watched the match streamed and thought it was supurb quality. The although it didn't look it. gate was given as just over 1000. This was very good considering the wet morning and the early start. The score was 28-0 although the first points weren't scored until after 30 minutes. Certainly Raiders seemed a speedy team and 2 good tries were scored by Hume.
  9. I see in the Mail that Puera is quite happy to stay
  10. Does anybody know the gate. Did we hit 1000 again.
  11. I think the score was 24-16 but what was the gate.
  12. I didn't get to see the game but the important thing is the next round. That one will probably be much more competative.
  13. Good to see an 82-6 win today.
  14. Many thanks Steve. I'll try and ride my scooter along the front to the other side of the stand.
  15. This is a particular problem to me. I could not go this week but when my wife and myself do go to a match I have to go in a mobility scooter and can only manage to get to the first 2 or 3 rows.
  16. What was the gate. Last year it was about 1100.
  17. The last score i've seen is Oldham 16 Barrow 14. Anybody got an update.
  18. There seems to be a lot of death and serious illnesses this Christmas. In Rugby League it was announced that Rob Burrow has Motor Neurone Disease. It was also announced today that Ged Stokes was critically ill in a South Africa hospital and had travelled from New Zealand to see Ben play in the test matches. In football Martin Peters died a few days ago and we also lost Bob Willis during December.
  19. I think with Barrow Bluebirds being top of the league it's the wrong time to broach the subject again.
  20. According to the Bible of players Jim Lewthwaite's last game was the 1957 CC final against Leeds. He then retired. Ted Toohey left Barrow in 1956 and finally retired in 1960. If I'm wrong Steve Andrews will know the answer.
  21. Well that's the end of 4 pathetic performances. Thank goodness I recorded the games and didn't get up early. I thought PNG were brilliant an completely outplayed GB after the first 20 minutes. It was a pleasure to see good performances from Puara and Star. In addition to these 2 Boas was playing and he plays for Doncaster. They were playing mainly against SL players. Surely Wain Bennett's contract won't be renewed.
  22. I watched most of the games on TV (recorded not up all night). I agree that PNG played well and Puera was included as well as Star. I think Star was injured but nothing serious I hope. I thought England men were awful against Lebanon and not a lot better against New Zealand. The women were a lot better.
  23. I think it's usually first week of November.
  24. He seems to be much travelled and has had injuries but I think we must put our trust in the coach and BOD
