    Sam Williams to miss Raiders trial with COVID

    Canberra playmaker Sam Williams is a late scratching from Friday night's trial against the Sydney Roosters after returning a positive COVID-19 rapid antigen test.

    Matt Frawley, Williams's roommate, has also been ruled out as a close contact.

    Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad, who was named on the bench, will replace Williams as Brad Schneider's halves partner while Adrian Trevilyan will start at hooker.

    The NRL has prepared for COVID-19 sidelining players throughout the season by allowing clubs to select development and feeder club players as replacements.

    "We have communicated to the clubs that there is an opportunity for them to access players outside the top 30 before round 11, on the basis of the impact of a COVID positive case," NRL CEO Andrew Abdo said on Thursday.

    "Provided that the salary cap auditor has been provided evidence that there has been a positive COVID case for a player, then clubs are able to access players from outside their top 30 list in a controlled manner."

    No surprise: World Club Challenge unlikely again.

    I don't think St Helens Saints would stand a chance against the Penrith Panthers anyways....I watched the Super League Grand Final replay the other night between St Helens & Catalans and St Helens did not convince me they would of beat Penrith even if the game had taken place. The Catalans Dragons still have to improve out of sight further if they are going to challenge for this years Super League title after their performance in the last 20 minutes of the game against the Saints.

    THE RULES OF TOTAL RL FORUM.....NRL SURVIVOR COMPETITION 2022

     

    1: You must pick one winning team a week till you are eliminated


     2: If your team you picked wins, or ties, you survive. If your team you picked looses you're eliminated.

     

    3: You may only pick any team once. - As an example if you pick the Penrith Panthers in any week, 
    you can't pick them again in any other week during the current heat, but you can pick them again in the final of Survivor if you are a heat winner.


    4: You can edit your picks as long as the game you are picking a winner in has not started

     

    5: All picks must be in before kick off of the game you are picking a winner in.

     

    6: You can enter the competition at any week during the heat stage of the competition but you must be a winner of a heat to compete in the final of the competition for the prize of $50AUD. You will be invited by forum private message to come and participate in the final if you are 1 of the heats winners.

     

     7: The competition continues in every heat & the final until there is a winner.

     

    8: Don't miss a week or you will be eliminated from the competition once you have entered a heat or the final.

     

    9: Once you are the winner of a heat you wait till you are invited back to compete in the final before taking any further participation in the competition, that gives more people a chance of competing in the final.

     

    10: When the competition gets Down to 5 players surviving in a heat or the final. 
    You must pick a combined points total of both teams without breaking the actual total points that are scored in the game by both teams. From this time onwards there will be no new players admitted to that current heat. If your invited to take part in the final you must take part in the first round and every round till either you are eliminated or you win the competition, miss a round of the final and you are eliminated.

    This will be used as a tie breaker, if needed to find a winner of the Survivor final.

     

    11: The 3 State Of Origin Games will not be included in the competition.

     

      12: If after the result of NRL Grand Final has been decided and there are 2 or more Survivors still surviving in the competition We will use the first game of the World Cup as a tie breaker, The chances of that happening are very remote.
     

    THIS YEAR THERE WILL BE A PRIZE OF $50AUD FOR THE WINNER OF THE  FINAL IN THE COMPETITION.
