I hope we say well clear of these players and stick with the young emerging players we have brought in, wasn't that long ago a few jumped ship when we were in financial trouble, I would rather see how these young lads develop thank you very much, UTT💙🤍🏉

Would you stay in a job that was trying to force you into accepting reduced wages if you had offers elsewhere ?

The Haven players are a month in arrears,if they can get a contract at another club that’s fair enough & good luck to them.

Good Luck for the rest of the season.

The way you relate to Wigan as "us" when posting on threads that mention them, albeit I can't recall you using that description re Haven so you must understand if I get mixed up where your loyalties lie, but commendations to you now they seem to be on their death bed like a distant relative you are showing concern.

I’ve supported my local semi pro team in various ways over 4 decades.

Ive supported my local community club in various ways over 4 decades.

Its not my fault you have a problem in how I relate to clubs.

I just think the sport should be run as a professional sport really. Step aside if you can't do that.

When you're trying to sell the game to people, stuff like this does nothing but make it look like something off Phoenix Nights.

Run professionally or step aside, how many clubs in this country do you think turn a profit ?

    Yes. Really.

Will my fiver save Haven from being relegated?  If yes, who'll be relegated instead?  Should I send a fiver to Barrow and Swinton as well?  Maybe Newcastle?  It's an ethical minefield.

In contrast, York went bust - yet Rugby League is not lost to York.

Wow,do us all a favour & keep hold of your fiver.

If the nrl uses the players fund to pay for the international game they should get something back if it makes money, that's whats the players are fighting for.

In saying that at least the nrl are trying to organise some of the international games. International rugby league board needs to go. They need to make a 5 nations cup every year with Kangaroos, Kiwis, England, Tonga and Samoa. It has the potential to make serious money if they're offered a good tv deal and sponsors. Tonga vs Samoa alone has the potential to bring in new viewers because of their rivalries.

The NRL organise international matches to sell to broadcasters as part of the NRL deal, probably why they don’t want England & want to stick to Southern Hemisphere countries who have to live off their handouts.

If they can't afford to be in the Championship without getting the begging buckets out, is that a good thing?

It is if they can get new directions/sponsorship into the club, your mob recovered from the York Wasps debacle.

I see Whitehaven have got the begging buckets out.

Despite times at the club by all accounts with what’s left of the board struggling to keep the club going but Haven are not the first to do this & sadly won’t be the last.

Yes Dav I have enjoyed reading it back, and I didn't quote everyone I have only quoted 2 people I have left you out when so easily I could have quoted you - you should really look back before making assumptions, as for getting out have you no work to go to?

Feel free if that’s what floats your boat,on well earned rest days & trying to book next years vacations 👍

Fair enough. Our opinions differ. Nothing wrong with that. I do not want him anywhere near Wakefield Trinity.

You do realise your team has been rooted to the bottom of the comp all season & despite a recent revival are still 2 points away from safety, which world class players were you expecting Wakefield to sign at this stage of the season ?

Griffin is a proven Superleague player who was in good form before his brain fart & is decent signing.

    1284 for Newcastle vs Haven.

From memory, Newcastle have been getting in the 600s at their last few matches. Can anyone explain this sudden spike?

They’d be a fair few from West Cumbria in the crowd,Wath Brow & Cockermouth played a U14s final as the curtain raiser & Whitehaven usually take a decent following to Newcastle.

I know that was the point I was making Queensland teams aren’t going to show up as champions in the 60s because they were playing in a different comp.

The NSWRL was the premier comp in Australia despite what an old angry man from Leigh says & is the precursor to the NRL,that’s why clubs are credited with premierships going back to its inception.

The Brisbane comp was pretty successful in its own right but with the  birth of the Broncos it sadly faded away, although the Qld Cup is a pretty successful comp these days.

Considered by who ? , Those in Queensland ? , And yes they had more players than Queensland , so what ? , Did they play professional RL in Queensland before the formation of the NRL ? , If so it wasn't expansion , was it ?

Mr Angry today I see,I’ll leave you too it.

Champions of what though ? , Did those in Queensland consider the winners of the NSW comp the Champions of Australia ?

Maybe not but the NSWRL was widely considered the Premier comp in the country, they did have the vast majority of the countries best players.
