Not often I say this but you’re correct,Spain is a wonderful country with some great cities, some stunning countryside/beaches & great food, that’s probably why thousands of us Brits flock there every year for a better life.

As bad as France have been, the individual skill levels shown by some of the young England players has been outstanding. -

And yet a tiny little island like Jamaica dominated sprinting in multiple global events watched by millions.& don’t come to the conclusion that athletics & the Olympics are tiny insignificant sports/events. Your argument that the size of a successful sporting country reflects on the the significance of a sport is laughable & ridiculous.

Great to see Rugby League still continuing in the city,a real shame it’s not being applauded on this thread & instead it’s descended into a TWP moanfest. -
Don’t forget the epitome of modern stadium architecture Leichhardt Oval.

First visit to the old stadium was 89 for a Ellery Hanley inspired rout of Saints. First visit to the new one was the 2010 Wire/Leeds final made memorable by seeing my son do a lap of honour just before kickoff with the all the finalists of the National Schools competitions. Biggest heartache was in 92 seeing Renouf striding down the touch line to clinch the World Cup for Australia. -

A RL in Toronto thread,I can hear the war drums sounding. -
You do realise Carlisle has no RL teams & verylittle interest these days & is an hour away from the Cumbrian RL playing population. Brunton Park is an aging stadium with little in the way of corporate facilities & even with a good turnout from West Cumbria you’d struggle to get anywhere near its 18k capacity. Wrexhan, well it isn’t even in England so why would you take an England home series to Wales, especially to a venue with only 3 stands & a 10k capacity.
