I hear Rooney is moving to RU because of the money and international scene.
No he is staying in Soccer for the local high class hooker's.
-
only good thing is the taxman gets £140k of that
Taxman another dirty word or thing.
-
300 grand a week for Rooney ???
Football stinks more then Rugby Union.

And tonight's special is the Waitrose 12y/o Islay Single Malt, courtesy of my ever loving wife who I'm getting more convinced by the day is trying to bump me off through alcohol poisoning.
A wee sniff and taste says I must disagree with my friend. The first sniff is a smoky, peaty mallet in the face suggesting either Laphroaig or Lagavulin. The little hint of sweetness on the tongue though takes it more towards Lagavulin.
Updates later after the rugby.
Not a Whiskey expert but how can a Laphroaig taste like mouthwash on first sip and then taste smooth and lovely on the 2nd.

Ripper Street was voted best show of 2013 in a poll for the Radio Times, it even finished ahead of Dr Who. I'm sure I read somewhere that LoveFilm were considering buying the rights to make more episodes if the BBC pulled out.
I right so there is hope then.
-
Sad to see Ripper Street getting pulled because of poor ratings as it was up against I'm a Celebrity and sad to see the majority of the brotish public would want to watch reality dross then some proper scripted drama.

How long before we see SL teams playing Bath/Exeter etc.in 1996 Dean Richards said that both codes will come back together sooner or later yet it has not happened yet.
Both Rugby codes are going through some climate change where we don't know what the results will be.

Top of the Pops from 1979 programme on BBC4 right now. A good laugh and some top memories.
I loved it.
Watched the Old Grey Whistle Test before it and couldn't help thinking the following the following bands from 1973 could of fitted in with -
Dr.Feelgood Mod Revival/2-Tone.
Roxy Music but more so Bryan Ferry looked more like ABC or some New Romantic type ala Spandau Ballet.
Argent Rock band could of been some Glam Metal band from the 80's.
Bob Marley and The Wailer's doing "Concrete Jungle" could of been some Root's Reggae band from Brixton in sound and look in the late 70's/early 80's.
Brinsley Schwarz was the start of the Pub Rock/New Wave bands with there Country style Pop sound influencing Elvis Costello and Joe Jackson etc.

It would appear there's a new Vic and Bob sitcom that's going to hit the airwaves in the New Year. The trailer suggests it's an absolutely pathetic attempt at turning the clock back to their comedy of years gone by. Sadly, it wasn't funny the first time!
Like Red Dwarf and also Open All Hour's and Bird's of The Feather.
Let's hope they keep Blackadder in the vault's.

I know someone who tried it, his esteemed view was that you'd be better buying a bottle of Bells and mixing it with something like meths. In fact, you'd be better buying a bottle of Bells and beating yourself with it. He said it had a bit of promise but was at least 3, and most likely 5-10 years, away from being what you'd consider drinkable if you're a proper whisky man.
As UB40 said "food for thought"...doe's that apply to wine.

Good documentary on BBC4 tonight at 10pm. Footage the last UK Sex Pistols gig in Huddersfield (a benefit for striking fireman's kids incidentally). Unseen footage and all that. Think it's a Julian Temple job.
I think Sham's last stand gig would of been a good one.

So no one thought Dr.Who was uttter bile.
-
Dr.Who was "all fur coat and knicker's" and the BBC should cut down on there Coke in-take.

I'm trying to be good and am cutting down on my alcohol intake. Last night for the first time ever I had only one glass of wine ( I always used to wonder what on earth was the point of those wine saver corks.)
So now that I'm in touch with my feminine side ( keep your snide comments to yourselves) can anyone recommend a half decent red in a box? Or is it all rubbish.
I suppose if I'm now getting 3 sessions from a bottle I can afford a better class of wine. But is there any such thing as decent boxed wine?
I am a Naked Wine Angel and can say if you like your red's beefy and bold and to last the night without opening another bottle then go for the Arabella range which are extra dimension wines in taste, the problem is they are so good you might go back to your old ways.

Peaky Blinders was great but I am watching my £90 box set of Goodnight Sweetheart.

I finally finished Breaking Bad tonight. Now that's how to end a series!
The hype is good for this.

Liked Whitechapel but the last episode jumped the shark at the end.
