  1. Thanks. Will do. Can't wait to be back
  2. We're planning come up for El Flatcapico. Sue is on crutches so can I ask how easy access is to the bar and the terraces please
  3. From Wikipedia. Just to check where it was invented. Once again Oldham leads and Rochdale follows https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rag_pudding
  4. From the Wigan Warriors site https://wiganwarriors.com/blog/2024/02/18/in-memoriam-bill-francis/
  5. Close....on the score at least.
  6. Saw your avatar and misread it thinking you'd moved dahn sahf to Milton Keynes.
  7. Just a couple of links to the role of Fly half. https://www.rugbypass.com/articles/fly-half-1st-5-8th-position-guide/ https://www.ruck.co.uk/funniest-definition-of-every-rugby-position-youve-ever-heard/2/ In my experience normally someone with a huge ego who doesn't think his backs are any good so he won't pass to them. Usually the ego is in inverse ratio to his talent. They will choose to kick or pass, usually the first and will, usually be the teams goal kicker.
  8. It seems very early for such short odds. Whose odds are they? Mind you it's not often you see a bookie riding a bike.
  9. Close. Have you got any tips for Cheltenham next month?
  10. We need to be strong in that run of away fixtures
  11. I remember Kev checking out our old one trying to see how many we could take to Toulouse in it
  12. All through the close season my League Express has arrived early on a Monday morning. Not via the Post Office as it's not in an envelope, just the paper through the day just like the paperboy used to do in the old days. This week, when I'm so looking forward to reading about our fantastic result yesterday there is no paper. Anyway, for those that know us, we will be back to watch the boys. We've had a few bad years looking after Dad with his Alzheimers and dementia. He passed away in July which, to be honest, was a relief not least to him. Anyway Sue had her birthday on New Year's Eve then, on the Wednesday following, she slipped in the garden and broke her left tibia. She can't even try to put her foot down for another few weeks let alone put any weight on it. Quick question for when we do come back; are we going to be able to park the motorhome at BP? Just sometimes it would be nice to make a weekend of it rather than the five hour round trip in a day. Here's one of me, literally, flying the flag during the World Cup
  13. Anita It will happen the Monday after the Blue Moon immediately following Preston Guild
  14. https://www.totalrl.com/leeds-rhinos-and-rugby-league-legend-kevin-sinfield-to-exit-england-rugby-union/ Dear Santa. I've been very good all year and just wondered...
  15. Does anyone know if Martin Gleeson has had a bet on the new coach?
  16. Wish we could be there but Sue is working tonight. Enjoy the game and give the boys an extra Come on You Yeds from us. This is the big one, El FlatCapicco. For the inter parish games at Wig On and 'Ull. I'll be thinking of the Hairnets fans on their long trip home aka The Trail of Tears
  17. Fantastic news and I am looking forward to the future. Thank you to Chris Hamilton though. It's not been easy on either side of the fence but whatever your view we are still here.
  18. There you look CH has even pawned his jacket to keep the club going
  19. Just had the message from my cousin in Chaddie. Great news
  20. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year and, hopefully, season from us both
  21. Nah. You got beaten by the guy whose try got us promoted. Good effort though on your part. Seriously it was good to see you. Looking forward to catching up next season
  22. Jimmy. I'd forgotten his first name and looked online and it came up as Luke
  23. Made his debut at Skolars and was denied a last minute try so I joked with his Dad that he'd score the try to get us promoted. If only I could do the same with the Euromillions numbers
  24. Will he ever get the knighthood he deserves? My moment of yesterday was being recognised by Luke Beckett and his Dad. Just a small moment in a long day. Actually a long journey following England from Newcastle to London
  25. I know we haven't been to any games this year but the Yeds flag is still being waved proudly here in Northampton. Sadly Dad's dementia and Alzheimer's is getting worse. Luckily we have a carer now who is helping out so we're able to use the tickets we bought in 2020. We're travelling up to Whitley Bay in the motorhome on Friday with the Yeds banner already attached to the back. Any of you guys going? It would be good to meet up
