  1. Matter of interest, what time is kick-off, haven't seen it mentioned on adverts.
  2. Also saying that cocaine was rife amongst his team-mates. I hope that has been fully dealt with in-house.
  3. BTW anybody, where does the free screen saver show and how do I use it?
  4. Just got some Rog, Tuesday pm 9.25.
  5. Yeah Linners, I thought I'd included plenty....
  6. Glad you agree DD thought I'd got the wrong idea about a forum....
  7. Whimsical thoughts, police will be calling I'm sure....
  8. So, if we play Brandon at 13 that would mean a diminished role for Browny, or maybe a thought might be that Browny was only announced as having signed (and that he did sign) only hours before because it was generally known in house that the Moore deal was happening and Browny is to be used as a short spell impact player off the bench, with his agreement or suggestion. He could spell Moore at 13 or Gledhill/Cooper at prop. Regardless, I'm more intrigued about prospects than I was 2 or 3 days ago. I wasn't let down Boxing Day, we had 7 guys on the field for the first time, all showed they could play, they will have had another 6 weeks playing with the ball, 3 weeks with these 2 guys on board. If we keep Fev quiet we can turn 'em over in the 1895 and get 1 up on 'em for the first league match.
  9. New hooker, up to 23 so might replace Ben Kaye at 24....
  10. KTF, he's already learned from 2 great hookers in the 2 seasons he's been here, Leaky and BennyK! Yes we need depth and no I don't know Mokko's plans but can't help thinking that Oli's stomach just dropped.
  11. Agree Bromley, we need to be playing Oli this time, he's been waiting 3 seasons now. Would be a mistake to loan him out again especially as we've got Joe as well. Oli might well turn round and say enough's enough. Hookers are the last thing we need especially as Whitey has also filled in. Don't understand this move as Moore or Oli won't be happy playing 3rd fiddle.
  12. When is this going to happen? Normally it's 1st or 2nd Friday in January. Something else going backwards....
  13. RIP Keith, did see him play. Loss to the Batley family. Hope the club is represented and, if not already done, his family should receive his Heritage Certificate and shirt.
  14. Seeing it my way Toffee!!
  15. Trialists as in Rhodes and Chita? Rhodes didn't have long on to show much but I thought he got stuck in, with time he could become quite a presence, he's got the frame, probably needs a stone on. Chita I would agree didn't impose himself but maybe that was expecting a bit too much of a transition from Shaw Cross to Championship in 1 match, but no reason to write him off either.
  16. We were far better than Dewsbury in the first half, they had to be wide awake on a couple of occasions to stop us scoring, they bothered us rarely and a poor effort in the tackle put us behind. Have to say that in the 2nd half Dews tackled tremendously as Gledhill, Cooper, Wardy and Joe Gibbons really got stuck in. Only a great bit of thinking by Dave Gibbons and back up from Joe Burton unpicked 'em. Forward effort got us tge leveller although Rams defenders would be as upset letting Cooper in as we were in conceding at half-time. All in I thought it was a fair game and result yet told both sets of fans nothing!
  17. How's the 400 one going 10 days in?
  18. Greg Johnson IMO looking at him yesterday has clearly trimmed down and he looked sharper in game contribution than for a long time. In fact when he came on and Kear moved to centre (where he SHOULD be anyway) we were tight on the left. Greg had a couple of decent moves. As one who has criticised, he is obviously putting in the hard yards and there's nearly 4 more weeks of work to go.
  19. Agree DD, I thought Dave Gibbons was way above anyone else on the field and Butterworth not far behind (I assume he picked up a knock as he didn't return). Joe Burton was good, Joe Gibbons put a shift it. Chitta and Rhodes need a bit more game time but signs were there. I'm a little less unhappy than in ny last post as long as we can pick up a strike player in the next month as we need a locksmith.
  20. Can a transitional year be afforded? Can you, currently at any rate, point to the 2 clubs who are going to be worse than us? Only maybe Swinton haven't strengthened any more effectively than us and have lost a number of players. Don't give me money as an excuse, why, after massive success for this 'nobody' club, will nobody come and play here?
  21. Blake in the squad as is Johnson....heaven knows what numbers players will be wearing. You're right Il Cattivo about the deafening silence but it doesn't appear as though much is going to change. A few years back we were getting news at half to three quarter season of re-signings, now it's 'we don't know our funding'. Has the money and procedure changed do dramatically? What was the point of putting big effort into a semi-final, Grand Ginal and a Wembley Final if there's nothing in it financially, and we come out actually 60k down? I know there'll be those who say change the record, but I have to say what more than myself are privately thinking. This season (as it seems at this moment at any rate) is going to be a struggle, even stragglers of the last few seasons have picked up more appealing signings, these lads who've come in here, even lads on trial, are going to find themselves thrown in, sink or swim. Good luck to 'em all.
  22. Not disrespecting anyone of a certain age, who is or isn't re-signing, but the fact that a man has any doubt as to his ability to fulfil a contract, then we might as well take 2 or 3 amateurs with good rep and mould them around the remaining experience that we have.
  23. Players Rog....19 signed on, any injuries and we're tight.
