  1. What is the point of the video ref when they can't get decisions right? Salford been really hard done to today.
  2. Yeah thought it was just a UK thing. Its a collision sport and I imagine its that part of it that makes it so great to watch so injuries are part and parcel just seems weird not to show a replay. Seen them do it for cuts and stuff as well.
  3. Yeah probably in the top 4 or 5 players in the league this season. Wish all our players had shown his form this year and we wouldn't be having the bang average season we are having.
  4. Disgraceful. Bet he's loving it short weekend in France and chance of a jolly up if they win, certainly beats playing for Cas.
  5. Should be an exciting clash, one of this years promotion favorites vs a future SL candidate.
  6. I think they will win another game. They won't win a trophy this season apart from maybe club of the year at the end of season awards.
  7. Decide it 14 days before then or make it so top half of the table will play on x day and then you give the majority at least an inckling of which day they will be playing. Serving up fixtures that people really don't care about is not really the way to go in my opinion.
  8. Nothing gets past you Gav...... There seems to be conflicting reports, as previously mentioned on here I really wasn't that bothered for going but by the time I found out it was on TV I were still considering going until Fax put a post out stating their tickets of their main allocation had sold out although they did have some other tickets for other stands so that made my mind up that if I wasn't going to be with the majority of the Fax fans I wouldn't go.
  9. Just shows why the people who are pushing for York to be given a place in SL need a rethink......
  10. At least one of us is confused with the points we are both trying to make. If you live a long way away and would plan to stay the weekend then again it won't matter what day your team plays on so would have no bearing on how late the fixtures were announced as long as the venue is announced in plenty of time.
  11. SATURDAY 3rd JUNE Toulouse Olympique v Halifax Panthers Toulouse by 10 SUNDAY 4th JUNE Batley Bulldogs v York Knights Batley by 16 Featherstone Rovers v Barrow Raiders Fev by 46 Keighley Cougars v Swinton Lions Swinton by 4 Sheffield Eagles v Whitehaven Sheffield by 42 Widnes Vikings v London Broncos Widnes by 4
  12. Fax announced that their tickets had sold out as well which was strange given the low numbers of Fax fans that went.
  13. Its a point in response to another poster saying that announcing fixtures so late would affect people who were thinking of going for the weekend. Personally I think the inconvienience would be minimal.
  14. Honeslty I don't think it would make that much difference, I mean how many people go for the weekend anyway and as long as the venue is announced in plenty of time i'm not sure it would make that much difference.
  15. The Blackpool ones always felt like they were well attended but Fax always ended up playing well supported teams apart from one year we played Toulouse so from our point of view it would be hard to say. But yeah I agree the RFL should scrap it at this point unless they are willing to get properly behind it.
  16. Calm down boys and girls, it was very much tongue in cheek. Regards the event itself in my opinion it has been a total farce. The concept is dated and the RFL is so lazy at even bothering to promote it that its no wonder that fans don't turn up. As for where I would hold it, again only my opinion, but not a chance it should be at the home of one of the competitors and also games should be chosen a week or so before the event to ensure that it is a level playing field or at least give a chance of that as we may have actually got some floating fans to attend. That sort of format we would have had the following fixtures:- Fev V Sheffield Toulouse V Fax Batley V Widnes Bradford V York Keighley V London Haven V Swinton Barrow V Newcastle Each game in that should in theory at least be competitive and does not give a difinitive advantage to anyone like this years fixtures and previous years have.
  17. Just shows that the people of York don't want SL.....
  18. Wow this is Fax 2003 all over again. Players leaving mid season and bringing in poor standard players hoping for a miracle. We invented the blueprint and Wakey are following it to the letter. Its going to make it a nightmare for them to put together a team for the Championship next season.
  19. Whoever was to come out on the wrong side of the Halifax V Batley game was going to be hard done by especially when a couple of our rivals for the playoffs were essentially given byes.
  20. I have that feeling too either that or we avoid each other and both lose. On paper at least, it does have the potential to be a really good final, still keeping fingers crossed and theres no other team I would rather play given the chance at Wembley.
  21. This. York and Fax getting the toughest games(on paper at least) amongst their rivals could have a huge bearing with the division been so tight. For me the fixtures should be picked a week or two before the Bash based on league position. Its not like that would have a huge bearing on the attendance and if anything with more competitive(in theory at least) games it may actually add some to the gate.
  22. Exactly this. Batley only clean breaks come from a Fax offensive kick which took a bad bounce and a Fax offload late in the game yet Batley seem to know against us that we are capable of coming up with plenty of mistakes and indiscipline so if they stay in the game they are always in with a shout. Hoping we get the chance of a revenge game at Wembley fingers crossed.
  23. Yeah unfortunatley 3 errors from him that lead to tries, can hardly remember him dropping a ball this season and he has had a total mare today. The 3rd batley try is not given if we have a video ref with the incorrect grounding but that is clutching at straws for 55 minutes we really didn't deserve to be in the game and batley did exactly what they do whenever you play them and that is fight for each other and never go away. The frustrating thing for us is that they only broke us from our own errors and the discipline in giving Batley 12 tackles every set at the back end of the 1st half from us was just abysmal.
