I would assume that this young talent has come through their academy system a luxury which Fev and Leigh are not allowed. Instead of blaming championship clubs you should be blaming the RFL and SL clubs for rigging the system to ensure they get the pick of the best young players.

Gaz Gale currently out with a broken hand, although the loan is initially 2 weeks the rumour mill is suggesting it may be nearer a month which may be around when Gale is back. In addition Josh Hardcastle is injured so we probably need a bit more cover.

Castleford Tigers winger Sosaia Feki has joined Featherstone Rovers on an initial two-week loan. The Tigers have a recall option in place following the fortnight period, after which the loan can continue week by week, subject to the two clubs’ agreement. Since joining Castleford from Cronulla Sharks for the 2020 season, Sosaia has had horrendous luck with injuries that have limited him to just one Super League appearance for the Fords so far, but he has been working hard on getting back to match fitness. In his first taste of match action for around twenty months, Feki featured in the Tigers’ Reserves draw away against Salford Red Devils at the end of April. In a further boost, he also scored on his return but was limited on the number of minutes he played in that fixture. As the winger looks to get back to 100%, the loan move to Featherstone will offer him the opportunity to get valuable match minutes in the Betfred Championship ahead of consideration for his long-awaited return to Super League action with Castleford Tigers.

Looking at it I think it’s only a short term loan with both Hardcastle and Gale injured it leaves us a little bit light in the 3/4s

It is always going to be difficult to call as I think Fev half backs are better and if the forwards can them the room to play I would fancy us to win more than we will lose. Sounds like we are in talks to sign Fecki on loan from Cas.

So looking at the squad I’m guessing we will line up similar to last week. Gale is in the squad but not sure if he’s fit or just filling a spot if not probably Hellewell or Pickersgill to come in.

A lot depends on what you class as expansion is it lots of new people playing the game or is having a SL club, ideally both but which needs to come first. For me it’s about getting the game going in the community closely followed by a decent level amateur/semi professional club and building from next there.

Any news on Jacks I know he went off last week but seemed to be precautionary. Is Ford here yet heard Vickers on the radio and he suggested middle of this week and would he have to play this week to be eligible for the final?

Back to the rugby thought Widnes were the worst team I have seen all season, they have got some real problems.

Thing is nothing is won in April it’s the end of the season that matters. Just gutted that at least one of us will miss out on promotion at the end of the season.

Yeah looking at the Leigh squad and Fev squad I think that’s where we have a slight advantage

Are we expecting many fans from Widnes?

I agree that there are issues with that being the case there has been for years. The majority of kids who go to academies won’t make it and the problem is making sure they are not lost to the game. Maybe there needs to be closer links with clubs and their local pro clubs to make moving between the 2 more fluid. It would also help if we put more money and attention into the community game instead of SL clubs getting all the money.

I can’t understand a philosophy that doesn’t want to have as many kids as possible playing the game to the highest level they can.

Interesting Fev go with a small squad and DR and get called for it so change to big squad with no DR and get called for it. No win really!!!
