  1. International RL didn't "go wrong", it is played between more nations than ever before. If this is just about England v Australia then it's just down to people seeing financial priorities elsewhere. Rather than bemoaning that, look ahead to what England have coming up - Samoa(tbc), Australia, WC, pretty exciting stuff I think.
  2. I've not seen anything to say eligible Toulouse/ Featherstone players won't be selected for France. SL clubs have had players pulled to play for England in recent years up to a maximum(2?) so I don't see why anything different will apply for these two teams.
  3. Details of a coaching principles-type course being held by the NRL in Vegas: https://learn.playrugbyleague.com/ilp/pages/coursedescription.jsf?courseId=6201954
  4. Latest RLIA podcast, the focus is on Las Vegas.
  5. Yeah, missed that, although still wouldn't put it past them to have infiltrated Google.
  6. Booked flights for the International weekend in Toulouse, hopefully there will be a big crowd. I assume/hope“90 years of rugby union” exhibition is a typo.
  7. They can be a part of developing and participate in a strategy to grow the game overall in the US, that has to be beneficial for everyone long term. The sum is greater than the parts principle.
  8. Yes, and I believe he is a marketing consultant so some useful skills for the USARL. Hopefully him being part of the governing body won't affected the RLIA podcast, as he is always frank and informative on the state of the game over there.
  9. Closing deadline isn't until the 31st so expect nothing will be announced before then.
  10. Sacramento confirmed as joining the PCRL, was mentioned as a possibility somewhere on here the other day, that's 2 teams in the SF area now.
  11. Looks like they are going down the previous RFL route on ticket sales, probably going to irritate quite a few people who've already bought them:
  12. Of course they don't want to make loss, but the article clearly says profitable - infering that is what their goal is here. Taken alongside the Visa nonsense, the whole thing just reads to me suspiciously like the over sensationalised rubbish SARL churns out.
  13. I cannot imagine the basics have not been covered by Vlandys, this is an NRL incentive, there is a 5 year plan and they are not short of a few quid. If this is true, it could be the clubs are after some extras here, self interest is as bad there as it is here - there were similar "financial concerns" from clubs when the NRL wanted to go to 17 clubs.
  14. "Sources" reads like clickbait to me, plus it is not about being "profitable for the clubs", it's a long term plan requiring investment - I seriously doubt the NRL aren't covering agreed costs here.
  15. Sam Tomkins taking his place Sky Sports confirm new full-time pundit ahead of new Super League season - Hull Live (hulldailymail.co.uk)
  16. Simple solution to this - they have big squads, just leave the ones who are criminals at home. Lets see who gets an "injury" ahead of Vegas, but is fit for round 2.
  17. I don't know who his agent is, but well done to them on getting the UK RL media to pick up on a complete unknown and tout him about for them. If someone signs him he could be a star or could be a disaster, we have had many of both, but at least he is young and wouldn't be coming over for a pension fund top up like so many others before. Think I'm fine with the change itself, problem for me is the number of quota spots remains too high.
  18. And also a brilliant performance from the fans - whether Wigan, neutral or any Penrith.
  19. Odd, was absolutely fine for me on fullscreen, maybe was a temporary glitch.
  20. Impressed with the quality of coverage by NA TV from Carcasssonne, first time I've watched one of their Elite 1 broadcasts.
  21. Final score 30-32 to Albi in a thriller. Carcassonne almost pinched it, held just short on the last tackle.
  22. 30-32, Escare in under the posts, 2 to go.
  23. 24-32, Albi looking dominant now, 10 to go.
