What has that got to do with the fact that the stadium is exactly the same as when Hardisty and Hepworth used to play there? There has been little or no improvement despite the club getting millions in Sky revenue, and although the atmosphere may remain good, the overall facility is pitiful and has been for years. How many false dawns have there been over new or improved stadia? It's no wonder the rest of rugby league are sceptical that anything will take place.

When you go, goldcoaster, have a really good look round and then in another ten years, when you go back the next time, you'll be able to see where all the improvements, much promised, haven't been made.

I used to love watching football highlights like MOTD , the Big Match and all day on Cup Final Day, but this was in the seventies and eighties. These days with wall to wall football on TV, I hardly watch any as it's become overkill and boring. As for RL, I follow a Championship club to most games but very rarely watch SL, so more SL will only mean more to not watch. I would however watch Championship rugby on TV for two reasons: firstly because it would be more relevant to me and secondly because SL has become less attractive and more predictable than the Championship. Just my opinion.

Apparently the Fev Rovers Banter Page on FB have agreed to sponsor Harry Bowes so the Dunhill thing is a non-starter I'm afraid.

Actually, that's not true. We won the League Two Grand Final beating Oldham to gain promotion to League One in 2007. That's only 16 years ago!

Actually IIRC Hugh Taylor sponsored 2 players last year, although one was under the name of Fev Rover, the horse he had a share in, so based on that perhaps there is still a chance for Joey!

Haven't Fev gone bust yet?! Our detractors have been saying for years that we MUST have overspent or gone to the well too often, but here we are again building a squad for our fans to get behind. Once again we have to take our hats off to Mark et al and get behind the team as we generally do.

Liverpool used to have a team themselves but there was not enough support to keep it going. Likewise the three teams mentioned by The Daddy, WWR, Newcastle and Skolars, there just hasn't been enough support to keep any of these 3 clubs going. Even the Broncos, although they've been going several decades really struggle to increase their support levels.

Aekins won the Coaches Player of the Year Award. It doesn't take a genius to work out that he wouldn't be left out.

I'm sure we pay good money for all our players, but in a 21 man squad there are obviously some who will miss out. When they are our favourites that is unfortunate, but it's a sign of the excellent squad we have.

As long as Fev win, I hope these two batter themselves senseless for 80 minutes, followed by a further period of golden point extra time, also without score. This would then be followed by a replay next Saturday at Odsal, (has to be Saturday as TO only play on Saturdays ) and after another period of Golden point extra time, the winners would make the short journey to Post Office Road for the final the following afternoon. This is an excellent plan and I commend it to the forum!
