  1. It sounds like Sam has stood his ground on this one and rightly so. If any player doesn’t have the right attitude then they need to be dealt with, no matter who they are. Obviously their recent results show that allowing this behaviour is having a negative impact on the team
  2. 5000 subscribers paying £100 per year works out at £500 000. This plus any money for terrestrial tv deal as well as the added exposure and potential sponsorship doesn’t make the deal any worse than the previous one
  3. Fev and Toulouse would be the 2 extra. Sounds about right to be honest
  4. Potentially there might not be a decrease in TV money if free to air and streaming make up the shortfall.
  5. Is that because they are producing better players West of the Pennines or because they are the best academies and cast their nets wider? Are there many Yorkshire lads in those academies?
  6. I’m sorry to be negative but any professional club that can’t raise a team should be kicked out of League 1. Are there any minimum standards for League 1? Maybe the top clubs like Oldham, Hunslet, Dewsbury, Doncaster etc should be placed in an expanded Championship and that split into 2 Conferences. If any current League 1 clubs don’t meet the required standards then they shouldn’t be a professional club
  7. Derailed on the 3rd post. Got to be a record!! So, who makes the last two play off spots?
  8. Could play them before the test series starts or they could play a test against whoever comes over that year
  9. I could also add Bentley, Oledski, and Harrison and Nicholson from Warrington
  10. Toby King, Alex Walmsley and Morgan Smithies are all from Yorkshire. There’s also Harry Newman, Morgan Gannon, Will Pryce, Tom Holroyd
  11. These kind of people wouldn’t say boo to his face. Complete cowards
  12. What would a full strength French 17 look like? Think they could put out a competitive team
  13. Why should I factor that in? I’m not talking about London Broncos, I’m talking about a “one off” event marketed by the cash rich NRL involving NRL clubs. London Broncos will have nothing to do with it. I also mentioned that RL fans from the North of England might be tempted to attend. I definitely would
  14. It is reasonable but I wasn’t talking about London I was talking about how big a crowd an NRL game could get in London
  15. What’s that got to do with the NRL taking games to new markets?
  16. Be a good tournament to watch and would give the next tier of nations some competitive fixtures
  17. Could potentially include Jamaica as the Americas representatives, Lebanon as MEA plus top 4 Euro sides outside of England. Call it Continental Championship. Group A France Scotland/Greece/Serbia Jamaica Group B Wales Lebanon Ireland
  18. Maybe if Magic Weekend was dropped and replaced with an International weekend then all players could be available and not withdrawn like what happened with France last time. It would be one fixture less for all clubs so the International games wouldn’t be any riskier for injuries than if they were playing at Magic for their clubs as it wouldn’t be an extra game just a replacement of the club fixtures
  19. Yeah something like that. With them and British RL fans, both in London and the North, I think a big crowd could be attracted if marketed well.
  20. Be great if they did. If NZ can beat the Aussies at the end of the season that will top of a big year for RL in NZ
