  1. Greetings to our friends in Barrow Every week of the season fevnut writes a blog that includes his ‘musings’ column. Although it is primarily about Fev (obviously) fans of our opposition teams have enjoyed taking a look. Rugby League expansion often causes controversy, but we look at an area of the game in which it has been a completely undeniable success story! We also write about the decision to take next year’s women’s Challenge Cup final to Wembley, we salute the scoring prowess of this year’s Fev team and we highlight a player who is now in his 8th season with us and shows tremendous commitment every time he enters the field of play. Access the article by using the link below and then by using the links on the right hand side of the page you can find all sorts of information pertinent to the match coming up on Sunday, including pages about the current Barrow squad and players who have played for both clubs and another about the history of matches between Barrow and Fev. https://fevblog130.blogspot.com/2022/08/fevnuts-musings-10-expansion-womens.html

  4. fevnut’s musings #09: What is a ‘true’ supporter?, tribute to Paul Sykes The latest edition of fevnut’s musings has now been published. Although it is primarily about Fev (obviously) other RL suppoerters have enjoyed taking a look. This week we respond to those who have written on social media suggesting that anyone who criticises their team cannot be a ‘true’ supporter. We write about the contrast between our two matches against Widnes in 2022 and then we finish by paying tribute to a former Fev player, Paul Sykes, who may well be playing against us on Sunday. His career has been simply incredible. 9. Greetings to our friends in Leigh Every week of the season fevnut writes a blog that includes his ‘musings’ column. Although it is primarily about Fev (obviously) fans of our opposition teams have enjoyed taking a look. This week we celebrate Craig Hall reaching 300 points in 2022 and take a look at the other players in our history who have made it to 300 in a season. We also express our concern about the apparent change in team spirit that was so good early in the season but seems to have somewhat faded in recent weeks. We have also done some analysis on the age of our squad and take a nostalgic look back to the days when we used to get enthused about exciting teenagers bursting into the first team. Access the article by using the link below and then by using the links on the right hand side of the page you can find all sorts of information pertinent to the match coming up on Saturday, including pages about the current Leigh squad and players who have played for both clubs and another about the history of matches between Leigh and Fev. https://fevblog130.blogspot.com/2022/07/fevnuts-musings-07-craig-hall-300.html
  10. fevnut’s musings #07: Fev’s 300 Club, Where has the spirit gone? And Building a team The latest edition of fevnut’s musings has now been published. 11. The link is not a page. It is my email address. If you want to receive the links to fevnut's blog you will need to send me an email to that address and then I can add you to those to whom I send the blog links.
  12. When the club decided to abandon producing the matchday programme I was approached by many of our fans to tell me how much they missed the contents that had been in the programme. As a result, I decided to set up ‘fevnut’s blog’ as a means of restoring that information to our fans. Originally I thought that it would attract a small amount of readers but it quickly grew to between 3,500 and 4,000 reads each month. I used the Featherstone Rovers Fans Facebook page to inform our fans when a new post had been added and each time provided a link to the page. Sadly Facebook (after years of posting with no problem) has now decided to refuse posts with links to fevnut’s blog as spam. Although I was able to tell them I disagreed with their decision there appears to be absolutely no way that I can explain to them why their decision is unjustified. In the last few weeks I have put up some posts with direct information (rather than links to the blog) but this method is unsuitable for much of what used to be included in the blog. After talking again with fans many have suggested that I set up an email group so that I can email them with the links to all the content of fevnut’s blog. So, if you would like to be included and receive email links to new posts please send me an email to fevblog130@gmail.com
  13. Scratching my head reading the above. How can Broadbent score 4 tries and not get in most people's top 3 Broadbent Jones Davies
  14. The Fev starting 13 that day had only two players still at Rovers and they are both currently injured. And there was one sub - Luke Cooper of course.
  15. That's actually a relief. Many have received much longer for tip tackles whether intentional or not.
  16. fevnut’s musings #05: The Hooker dilemma, IMG and Milestones The latest edition of fevnut’s musings has now been published. This week we discuss the hooker dilemma with the possibility of being without both Matty Wildie and Connor Jones for the 1895 Cup Final and whether that should affect the line-up against Whitehaven. We also put forward some ideas for IMGs recommendations for the future competition structure and we celebrate two milestones and one that we are waiting for. 18. Definitely I ought to add Canada. What are Mathiou and Coops qualifications for Ireland. I do know that Kheirallah has Lebanese heritage but where does Egypt come in? Correction! You are right about Kheirallah and Egypt, but it doesn't merit an egyptian flag because there is not, and never has been, an egyptian RL team!
  19. 8 games in the 2002 season. That list of players for both clubs is only summer era players.
  20. Greetings to our friends in Dewsbury Every week of the season fevnut writes a blog that includes his ‘musings’ column. Although it is primarily about Fev (obviously) fans of our opposition teams have enjoyed taking a look. This week we pay tribute to a player we really loved to watch and thought about some others who regularly brought a smile to our face. We consider the value of the 1895 Cup and bearing in mind that there is history in next Sunday’s game we look at the record and records of league matches between Fev and Dewsbury. Access the article by using the link below and then by using the links on the right hand side of the page you can find all sorts of information pertinent to the match coming up on Sunday, including pages about the current Dewsbury squad and players who have played for both clubs and another about the history of matches between Dewsbury and Fev. Looking forward to seeing some of you on Sunday. https://fevblog452.blogspot.com/2022/02/fevnuts-musings-03-championship-so-far.html
