Watts sent off for absolutely nothing - heard he is not happy and thinking of walking away from the game- imagine RU could use a tall off loader like him
If I were him I'd call it a day, must be soul destroying.

The panel blaming Hooley for been dumped on his head, to justify not applying precident because of the wcc
Video refs at every game and a panel still trawling for unpenalised incidents to ban players.
Hard to have any enthusiasm about the game currently, its basically a lottery of referring decisions which no doubt the 'panel' will be instructed to ratify any controversial decisions in support of referees.

"I'm led to believe from the sideline that the recommendation from the video referee was that Harry Smith's was a red card and that on the recommendation of an on-field official it got reduced to a yellow card. Why?"
Interesting post match comments from Lingard, could have been misled like.

Pretty much a sellout at Wheldon Road by the sounds of it, looking forward to a good atmosphere.
Wigan will win.
For us Cas fans (the pragmatic ones anyway) I think today we are looking for plenty of effort and athleticism from a much younger team then we have seen of late. It's year one of a rebuild so basically hoping to see a core of players with the potential to be part of that for thr next 3 years or longer.
Probably looking at a line up of
Hooley (25)
Senior (23)
Wood (26)
Broadbent (23)
Simms (22)
Richardson (27)
Miller (31)
Watts (33)
Horne (25)
Lawler (28)
Tasipale (23)
El Zhakem (25)
Westerman (33)
Mustapha (23)
Hall (21)
Putt (27)
Robb (22)
Obviously not going to beat Wigan today but I'm far more enthused about watching them then the likes of Widdop, Edwards, Fonua, Fariamo and Co who had simply gone beyond there sell by date as SL players.

Craig Huby was a month or so after his 17th birthday when he made his SL debut for Cas at prop.
Jason QuareQuare debuted at 17, blazing away for a distance try with his first touch.

Not necessarily, I took it as them basically informing Cas fans that the investment of money was included in their current score, so that won't be something that will increase next year.
The opposite, needs to be in the accounts filed by 30 November or it won't increase next year's score.

Wouldn't have thought anything about it without the comment making the point the investment has come in time to be considered in the 2025 accounts, which would subsequently increase the relevant score. Just seems an odd thing to highlight.
I don't think it's an odd thing to highlight. They know that the IMG score is on alot of fans mind, why not highlight that the investment brings in some extra scoring?
Only the same as comments Beaumont has made about his investment.
It was also to explain why it was reported by journos noting it on companies House before the club (because it needed to be finiised quickly with the accounts deadline looming).

So, not only can the Cas club not add up, the Cas fans can't read.
Why am I not surprised?

Where does it state that the RFL agree the score would be 12.91?
It doesn't.
The rfl can't share it, because they would be contradicting there decision not to publish a regrade.
Why should Cas not?
How do you know the rfl didn't say we can't share it because we would be effectively regrading you publicly but you can?
Nothing like a bit of uninformed unnecessary outrage...

Yes, that's CAS stating that, not the RFL.
If true, and the RFL wanted that info shared THEY would have announced it.
To do so outside of the official statement is utterly unprofessional at best and a misrepresentation of the truth at worst.
No it's not.
The RFL statement quite clearly states that accepting the resubmission would increase Cas's indicative score.....

So is that genuine investment or was it purely to deposit a 7 figure sum of money to get a better score on that parameter? Will he be doing the same for 2026? If not, whatever points are attained fot 2025 will be lost again, unless I am reading it wrong.
Seems to be a fair bit of work aaround going on. Still, that's the way the sport has decide to go so clubs will naturally look at ways to take advatage of loop holes.
Seems a genuine investment, to be spent on facilities and infrastructure.

Confirmation published tonight. Jepson takes a 32% share, reducing both Ian and Janet Fultons shares, all three now have a 32%.
Also investing a 7 figure sum into the club. The investment was made prior to the submission of the accounts to be used for the 2025 img submission which will obviously provide some additional scoring.

They've got a few acres of land to build stuff on...
Not sure a company doing the type of developments his are are that hard up to be profitering from the downfall of the only professional sports club in his home town for a small gain...

He's bought between 25 to 50% of the company.
I'd be astounded if that was all this was limited to
Yeah, seems to me he's unlikely to do that to watch it die. Must be a plan somewhere.

Bit out of the blue is this. But certainly interesting.
Jepson's personal wealth might not be huge, but at 61 and bearing in mind some of the roles he has had he must have wealth.
He's also seems a real succesful, influencial guy. A few quick Google searches and note thing like (in 2013) the evening standard described him as "the man who has the lock on just about every potential development site in London" (through the company he was the vice president of).
Surely he can sort messily £12 million pound ground development in his home town of Cas!!!!
I wouldn't get too excited at present but its certainly one to watch with interest.

I am pretty sure Doncaster would have taken him, (he made a real difference for us, although admittedly that was L1) but wouldn't have been able to match the wages
Yeah, he refused to go by all accounts.
That been said I have been told he's grafting in the gym determined to right the wrongs of last year.
Time will tell, he finished last pre season about 15kg overweight and finished the full season even more so. Be interesting to see how he's looking in the pre season friendlies.

Couldn't get rid by the sounds of it....
Hopefully he proves me wrong, gets himself into reasonable shape and contribute ls something next year, not convinced like!

Hopefully ......add Albert Vete and Doncaster will have a HHHUUGGEE pack.
Albeit a huge, useless pack!

I'd go with 6.
-Leeds
-France
-Salford (but change the name to Manchester and watch the 135k regular football fans in the city join the devilution).
-Lancashire
-Hull
-Toronto
The catchment areas just aren't big enough to make other clubs sustainable.

So nearly 2000 less than Cas but the same score for attendances.
Still get an extra point for catchment though, even though having that great catchment doesn't help their attendances.....
Maybe next year is the year that all the Man Utd fans realise what they have been missing.
Just to add to this, your attendances are still that low despite having Wigan, St Helens, Warrington and Leigh within 30 minutes (which no doubt adds travelling support). Keep the catchment point though.

Salford scored 4.15 from 5 on fandom, 3.43 from 5 on performance, 2.15 from 4.5 on finance, 1.83 from 3 on stadium and 2.25 from 2.5 on community.
4.15 on fandom , what are their attendances again?
Add the 1.5 points for the post code!

The Croft & share income is only worth 66% of this years value, on next year's balance sheet - does that help you?
It doesn't help me I fully understand it. The figures are averaged over 3 years accounts. But they are counted which was my initial point.

No, the 3 year average is solely for on field metrics.
Financial metrics are year-on-year.
The Salford "share" money is already spent.
They aren't.

I don't think so, the 2nd try was a clear forward pass, 3rd try was short and a double movement.
A ref not understanding the rules he is officiating to (with the ball steal) is pretty unforgivable incompetence tbh.
