  1. Not according to Last, wouldn't suprise me if Andy Last had been watching the wrong player like To be honest we definitely need a bit of size and go forward in the pack. I suspect he will be an improvement on the likes of Griffin and Vete and such. But the club are just desperate for signings. Could have been avoided had they have proactively replaced Mamo earlier in the season and kept Milner and Smith unless an appropriate swap deal became available.
  2. Billy Tsikrikas to Cas from Canterbury for the rest of the season. Alex Foster also returning to the club. A third player is coming for this season, sadly its not Kayal Iro. Josh Simms would be my guess.
  3. According to Wikipedia he's denied these rumours
  4. Pretty poor quality game, all Hull really had to do was run hard against an apathetic and passive Cas defence. Can't remember Hull taking a 5th tackle play that wasn't an attacking kick, ate meters up in yardage with ease. Albert Vete is about as close to been a conditioned elite athlete, as I am to dating Beyonce. Good old Lasty, the talking cure for insomnia smashed the half time team talk again.
  5. Kayal Iro to Cas rumoured. Potential to be a great signing that if we pull it off.
  6. Just rewatching the highlights. Think Harrison was lucky to get away with a yellow. Clear hip drop which has done Masseys ligaments apparently.
  7. He took Cas from 3rd bottom of superleague to 4th (and one win away from the league leaders shield at that) in a season if that counts! If i was a wire fan, my concerns around Powell would be more around whether he can sustain a team at the top in terms of the pressure and managing a roster to churn the right players at the right time and bring in the right replacements (in my opinion Cas are still suffering now from some of his last year recruitment decisions), albeit this might be less of an issue with the budget Wire have. I also felt under Powell when Cas were going well it was down been able to blow teams away in attack, 2017 especially Cas were killing games off in 20 minute spells. Was never that confident in a grind.
  8. Powell was given six games to turn it round at the start of the season abd he did that in the short term. Today he lost to an Andy Last coached team with Nathan Massey at hooker, might take some surviving that
  9. Not heard that one l, wheres the rumour come from?
  10. Cas missing Watts, Wallis and Mellor from the Leeds win to add to what was already a big ask.
  11. It's not until next season, although he's injured and probably won't play again this year.
  12. 'Won't see a worse wingers performance than Olpherts for a while'. Tom Lineham 'hold my beer'.
  13. On a side note, Olpherts has been far better for Cas this year than he was last. Getting Leeds to pay his wages was a rare Cas master stroke.
  14. His performances (excluding the one next to Biggies) have been one of the few positives for Cas this year. 100% effort each week and genuine skill added to natural size. Would have been interesting to see how good he could have been had he been a) more focused and b) given the NRL a go.
  15. Jesus. Firstly Leeds couldn't of helped Cas more, terrible performance by them. A better team, better coached, would have been well in front by half time. Turned off in disgust before the last two tries so will enjoy watching the game back to the end later. Agree with some of the comments about Wallis, has impressed me everytime I've seen him play. Good to see a more Mcshane like Mcshane today. Widdop is a far better full back then half and showed today in attack, needs to fix up defensively though, especially kick wise. Far more impassioned performance by Cas, bit thank god for Leeds having a knightmare!
  16. Leeds should consider themselves very lucky they are playing an Andy Last coached team and not a reasonably well coached team.
  17. Yep very odd. I'd like to think someone of quality is coming in with savings been made from Mamo, Smith, Milner and the coaching structure (Radford/Last/Murrell to Last/Murrel and Lingard PT for half of the season). But I suspect, it is just cost cutting to offset some of the lost revenue caused by the boards decision to appoint Andy 'I've not got a clue' Last. Definitely going to give Wakey something to aim for as we won't win another game all year imo.
  18. Adam Milner looks to have joined Huddersfield with a immediate effect.
  19. Yep, its human nature to want to be as well paid as possible for our labour. It's the same for most of of us, including you, me and Dupree.
  20. Doesn't fit Andy Lasts style of play. He occasionally breaks tackles and offloads.
