They do that in this country with the exception of any incident where a Saints player may be the guilty party and then it is investigated and examined to the nth degree by Pies ports

Just know a great team when I see one

Didn't say he deserved a ban I said he was lucky to get away without a ban. My thought process for this was because of how it looked on TV which was in large parts influenced by the total over reaction of the Salford player who wasn't injured but milked it for all it was worth.

I still don't think the incident was as bad as it looked and it certainly wasn't a chicken wing tackle like some have suggested however do think he is very lucky to get away without a ban. However the language used by the first review panel totally contradicted itself so you can't blame Saints for exploiting that. We all want to see the best players available on the biggest stage and there are already a number of top players missing on Saturday. People just need to get over it and enjoy watching what should be a fantastic game.

I actually think the Knowles incident looked actually worse than it was. I'm not arguing that he didn't deserve a ban or the yellow. All defenders grab the non ball playing wrist to prevent the player from regaining his feet and to slow the play of the ball down however he kept hold of it as he cleared the ruck which meant the arm was moved to an unnatural position. I don't think there was any additional pressure applied and I also think the over reaction of the Salford player made it look worse (sadly not the only example of milkining a pen in the game) funnily enough he was absolutely fine to continue. Still it was stupid by Knowles and he can't really have any complaints.

The referee has to be certain he will score to award a penalty try, couldn't be so sent him to the sin bin and awarded a penalty. Under the current rules he couldn't have done anything else. I'm a Saint's fan and don't agree with it but thems the rules, can't just change them in a semi final. Yet another Saints v Leeds Grand Final.
