  1. I've got a White-necked Heron comes into my yard most days. I'm surprised how few local reference sites mention them.
  2. Yesterday I saw a red-bellied black snake out in the yard. They are reasonably common around here and highly venomous but not aggressive. If they have options they will always "run" away. He was well over 1 metre long and the fattest I've ever seen. Unfortunately for him, all this area is turning from farmland into suburbia over the next 2 years.
  3. I don't know what to think about this. Gordon should finish off this year but if the Sharks aren't offering him anything for next year and they aren't using him this year then.....I still dunno. They don't need him for injury cover as they've got Feki to come back and Nathan Gardner, Mitch Brown and Daniel Abou Sleiman playing NSW Cup.
  4. Myles is 29 so he'll be pushing 34 when this deal runs out. In that respect it's a smart deal. Also his wife was on Neighbours or Home and Away apparently and I don't know if she got much work in Qld, although Warner Bros studio is on the Gold Coast. I think Home and Away is shot on the Northern Beaches and Fox Studios in Sydney are pretty busy so she might get more work. Manly will be back as permanent fixtures in the top 4 by 2017. When the Northern Eagles merger folded in 2002 Manly were a mess but they came back as Manly in 2003 and won 2 GFs in 10 years and played in 2 others. My team has only reached the GF once in the last 25 years.
  5. It's easy to miss. Only 6 weeks left until the June 30 cut-off so the market should be busy for the next few weeks. When you compare it with the minimal SL market in quality players it's no surprise the bottom SL teams stay their for years on end. Even if Wakey had any money, who would they buy?
  6. As reported on the previous page. It's for family reasons: Manly offered him more money for his family than Gold Coast did. His alleged-actor wife would probably get more work in Sydney.
  7. Busy day today: Nate Myles to Manly on 3-year deal Joseph Leilua to Raiders Suaia Maitagi from Warriors may be heading to the Roosters before June 30 deadline South Sydney have extended the contracts of Alex Johnston and Cameron McInnes until the end of 2017
  8. In Season 1 of the Sopranos they used to pronounce Mikey Palmice's name as "Palmisi" sometimes and then "Palmeechy" at other times.
  9. Who's worse, Carmela or Skylar? http://www.ign.com/boards/threads/whos-the-bigger-#####-carmela-soprano-or-skylar-white.453669281/
  10. This track has a strange following. In AUS it was used behind the promo for the new season of Walking Dead. On YouTube, half the comments are in Polish, none mentioning the Walking Dead.
  11. 100 points - extremely trivial and thoroughly uninteresting. I doubt that anyone will top that.
  12. Today the average life span of people with Down Syndrome is 60 years (in USA) In 1983, the average was only 25!
  13. This one isn't the link or the story so much as the headline: Japanese vagina kayak artist Megumi Igarashi denies obscenity chargeshttp://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-04-15/japan-vagina-kayak-artist-denies-obscenity-charges/6395888

  15. Beau Scott to Eels on 3yr deal. http://www.news.com....f-1227299071511 Not sure about 3 years.he'll turn 34 in about Round 8 of his final year.
  16. http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/nrl/roosters-gutted-by-roger-tuivasa-shecks-warriors-switch/story-fnp0lyn3-1227295842965 Roosters recruitment manager Peter O’Sullivan claimed to be “personally gutted” by Tuivasa-Sheck’s defection. And his club isn’t happy either. “Personally I’m gutted,” O’Sullivan told The Daily Telegraph. “We brought him over here (from New Zealand) when he was 18-years-old. “We set him up, we employed him. We helped his family and it’s well documented ‘Mini’ (former Roosters fullback Anthony Minichiello) helped him with his fullback play and diet. “The coaching staff has made him the player he is today. “I think the coaching staff has been phenomenal. They brought him through the under-20s, then a season on the wing, then a season between wing and fullback and now he has made fullback his own. “We are disappointed but the club is bigger and stronger, we’ll move on. It’s just disappointing he didn’t see the big picture and be a one-club man, which we would have loved him to be. “We put a lot of time and resources into Roger but we will now put that into others. “We have been saying for the past year-and-a-half that we would lose players and no-one listened to us. But they (Warriors) threw a bucket load of cash at him and that, in the end, matters.”
  17. That seems to be the plan and last week they dropped McCrone and put Buttriss in the 14 slot. Hodgson doesn't need a long break and has enough beef to stay on the field as a middle forward when Hodgson comes back on. My guess: McCrone and Sam Williams looking for SL jobs.
  18. Aidan Sezer signed for 3 years with Canberra Raiders allegedly $500K/year. Reported on Matty Johns Show.
  19. While speech is a function of the left brain, singing comes from the right hemisphere.
  20. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-04-08/burgess2c-tyrell-re-sign-with-rabbitohs/6378788 Tom Burgess has rejected overtures to join his brother Luke at Manly to re-sign with South Sydney on a one-year extension. Tom had been linked to a move to Brookvale as the Sea Eagles desperately seek to beef up their forward pack, and shore up their roster in the wake of the departures of Daly Cherry-Evans and Kieran Foran for 2016. But the 22-year-old has again recommitted to Redfern. Fellow prop David Tyrrell joined Burgess in pledging his future to Souths. He has signed a new two-year deal. "I'm really excited about signing on for another year with the Rabbitohs," Burgess said. "I'm really enjoying my time with the club, we've got a great set of lads here, and in the end the decision to stay is what I think is best for my career."
