  1. Jack Welsby (St Helens) – High Tackle, Grade A, No further action

Good job it wasn’t a fev player or for that matter any other non super league club player else it might have been a few weeks off. Reminds me of that terrible dirty tackle on john gilbert in 83 or is it me being too cynical.

  2. It might help finances a little if they finally sorted the broken rovers tv which I and others have been unable to pay for during the last year. Also I’m sure I’m not alone thinking should rovers eventually get into super league there will not be much fun watching us get thrashed most weeks just hope I’m wrong and rovers somehow get some new backers with big bucks.

  3. Finally some info regarding why rovers tv has and still is having major problems with not being able to rectify their inability to receive payments which has been going on for over a year now. Hopefully the same people supposed to be controlling rovers tv do not get anywhere near the running of the rovers team which finally seems in good spirits after dumping mac just need to stop letting in easy try’s now and bang at last a realistic chance of super league just hope we can keep hold of long.

  4. well that’s me done with rovers their problems with paying for a tv subscription just do not work. I gave it one last try today and it failed to take my online payment for £64-99 using a brand new registered account but alas rovers must be happy turning money down what an abysmal carry on. I think it is time to scrap the current system and employ somebody who knows what they are doing in fact from my point of view it would be better going back to selling the dvd matches which I never had a problem buying. agh"……….

Please don’t tell me to try changing my password as nothing works when trying to pay it’s a change in staff that’s needed as there is a constant level of incompetence somewhere in the system relating to rovers tv. I never ever have any problems paying for goods and services online except rovers tv what a joke.

  5. aren’t you the lucky one firstly you got a reply and somehow they managed to sort it whereas I have changed passwords so that’s not the problem however if fev want to keep losing money every month for a broken tv system that’s their choice but I find it quite laughable anyone in business would not fix such a simple problem which has been losing them money for more than a year thus causing upset for some rovers fans.

Or they are hoping that people will use the new Recast streaming site.

my thoughts exactly rovers seem to be run with a certain level of incompetence regarding some of the business side of things.

Anyone else having problems paying for Rovers TV?

Tried emailing the club twice but I have had no response.

I have been trying numerous times to pay for rovers tv I have tried for several months without success and have contacted rovers top brass all a total waste of my time. I tried with my ipad my mobile and my laptop plus with a new account in my wife’s name and different bank account which proved impossible totally useless I even got my brother to register and try to pay with his bank but alas the system is totally broken. No doubt if I try paying to support the blue wall that will work without a hitch in conclusion rovers must be losing a fair bit of cash having a rovers tv which people cannot pay for. This is the message I got back from Martin Vickers almost a month ago which has proved a waste of time as nothing has been done “Jac can you come back to Terry on this please ASAP”

He was playing in the Salford time last season , and just look at how well Moors played last season.

take a hint I’m just saying he may be past his best and at 32 pushing 33 in February that’s often the case after years of being bashed about in this tough game I just hope he can cut the mustard even in small doses but my faith for rovers in super league has really diminished judging by our current squad but hey rovers may make one last big push and really pull in some quality players of the type leigh did.

Good choice Long likes to play open Rugby ,the backs should see more of the ball and he has always valued the kicking game.Would like to see a defensive coach as his assistant we need to improve there.Happy for once😄

yep a good defensive coach is clearly desperately needed judging by performances this year.

  10. well we’ll well

we have had about 26 years since the inception of super league which has always created more problems and controversy than ever. Never had much problems before that especially with the challenge cup format but hey let’s keep constantly changing everything making it almost a closed shop once again. My best guess is more controversy than ever with these img proposals. I imagine teams like york and bradford will benefit from these changes if they are not tinkered with again or most likely scrapped in a couple of years. Just cannot see fev benefitting from these proposals and the lower league teams will become almost extinct or play amateur rugby with very few fans.

  11. Rugby league has constantly shot itself in the foot and todays announcement just clarifies they once again intend to continue on their path of self destruction. Regret it yes I believe they certainly will as rugby league has confirmed it’s continued path of self destruction. But hey Wigan Leeds st. helens and the likes can sleep safely now just like they always wanted. Totally laughable these idiots ruining our game. It’s the final nail in the coffin for me and no doubt many others.

No doubt big changes for fev and others regarding splashing the cash on new players.

Well looking at who we have retained its still a Championship team and hardly much different to this season. Its alright getting Brad Day back but he's injury prone.

yep brad day is injury prone but fev are good at getting these sorts look at bussey who is great on his day and also injury prone however brad at 28 is no spring chicken though he had some great games for fev when fit.

  13. Some Rovers changes which are needed in my honest opinion preferably with some younger players.
Let these players ply their trade elsewhere as rovers need to drastically improve especially as 2023 will probably be rovers last chance to reach super league due to either the 2x10 or closed shop where rovers will never be invited unlike widnes.

In order of who should go (in a particular order) no need to wait 15 secs just read on and thank them for their services.
1/ brian mcdermott - a very expensive failure
2/ adam cuthbertson - to late in the day for rovers
3/ Jesse sene lefao - fits and starts defence questionable
4/ brett ferres - needed him 3+ years ago
5/ craig Kopczak - nearing end of the road good in small doses
6/ james lockwood - actually not had a bad season but times up
7/ craig hall - unreliable in defence but so are most players
8/ tyla hepi - needs restraint
    * we just need a fit good full back and a defence coach plus obviously a mcdermott replacement.
    * I know you ask who is available and costings to replace them etc but fev are reaching the crossroads and if they don’t make a big push now then we we shall be forever stuck in the championship or worse
