  1. I know its common for people to say NRL>>>>>> Super League, and its probably true for the most part, but the one area Super League blows NRL out of the water is atmosphere. An NRL top 4 match with 20k+ in attendance has all the atmosphere of a Thursday afternoon baseball game in July, some light applause and make a bit of cheering if a try is scored. A Super League match with a third or fourth of the attendance will have several times the atmosphere, making the match seem like something important. Unfortunately, Super League is on some obscure network in the US, making it impractical to watch for several years now, but I regularly watch old super league or challenge cup matches just to get that atmposhere fix. If they could just get their business side together, I have no doubt it could be Super League >>>>>> NRL
  2. I can't say for sure, but it seems usally if theres a day game that day it tends tobe the free game
  3. That's good those up north can still watch. Down in the US, for the past few years Super League was relegated to a minor channel call Fox Soccer Plus that would have cost per month 60 dollars for the base youtube subscriptions plus 15 dollars to get that channel. Doens't make sense to pay all that for 2-3 games a week especially with watchNRL.... and yet Im finding myself becoming meh with the NRL, I miss the passion and atmosphere Super League fans create for a match, an NRL game has all of the atmosphere was a Wednesday day baseball game in July some occasional clapping when something happens. And I believe as of this season there is no way to watch the Super League at all.
  4. Replace UK with Northeastern US and British with Canadians and you more or less described the beginning of the LA Kings (two time Stanley Cup champions) "Los Angeles has a large number of expatriates from both the Northeastern United States and Canada, which Cooke saw as a natural fan base." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_Los_Angeles_Kings
