I find the whole insurance issue strange. If these rule changes were a requirement of getting the game and its players insured then surely no British player can play under international rules anymore ?

The penalty try bemused me. The ref can be clearly heard asking the VR to “check the merits of a penalty try”. The VR then says the Ref has awarded a penalty try on the field and he can’t see a reason to overturn it. But the Ref never said he’d awarded it, he asked the VR to advise him.

Based on previous examples Sao was quite lucky he didn't get charged with contact with the referee as he clearly put his hand on him after the sending off (0.26 on the video). Just to be clear, I am glad he wasn't charged as it was the merest of contact but in the past couple of years we have seen even accidental contact be punished. Chaos! It’s strange that a lot of places list Gus Risman as Town’s first coach but he didn’t join the club until 1946 and we played in 1945.
