You're the one telling me (and others) that the people writing on this thread to say they have are angry about the contents of the letter don't really mean it.
I'd sort of assumed you had some evidence for thinking that beyond projection.
Whatever. There's a reason I had you on ignore. For the life of me I don't know why I took you off. Welcome back to my ignore list.

So they could care about it but you're able to identify that they don't really and are faking their concern?
Just trying to get a handle on your perspective here.
No, you're using your own bigotry to tell me what I'm thinking.
If you can't see through the posts I'm referring to, that's your issue. Not mine.

Faux?
Confected outrage as displayed by some of the posters in this thread. What they're actually saying is "look at me and what a nice person I am".

Some of us just enjoy and appreciate women playing rugby league.
So do I, that doesn't mean I need to go into a faux outrage when I encounter someone who clearly doesn't.

That doesn’t give free reign to print absolutely anything because it’s free speech or whatever, does it?
Perhaps they should, for no other reason than to disrupt the hive mind of correct think. Some of the replies to this thread would indicate that we are becoming a society of drones lacking the capacity for independent thought.

He was also a member of the conservatives so it’s pretty disingenuous to claim fascism’s roots lie within the Labour Party
Not really, his movement was gestated during his time in the Labour party.

I’m not at all political Phil, and don’t want to be dragged into this debate, but yes fascism from its founding was a form of socialism.
If you think about it, fascism isn’t a more hardcore version of conservatism (low state control, personal responsibility), it’s the complete opposite, so it’s wrong for it to be called ‘far right’ in the same way that ‘far left’ is a more hardcore version of the Labour movement for example. To my mind on the political spectrum the ‘far right’ and ‘far left’ (as they’re rather lazily called) have much more in common than either of them has with the centre ground.
Absolutely, they're two cheeks of the same backside

Might want to read about the origins of Fascism in Italy. Even in Britain, it's roots were in the Labour Party. Labour MP Oswald Mosely being the most (in)famous of that disagreeable bunch.

Fascism is far left?
An inconvenient truth for most leftists.

We should totally ban wrong think. Cancel League Express and have some kind of protest. Maybe glue ourselves to the steps of Brighouse town hall.
Its a letter with some viewpoints you and I wouldn’t endorse ffs. It’s not the second coming of Mein Kampf

Latest from FEV CEO no names no packdrill just !!!!!
This is a really busy time off the field at present with lots of contractual discussions going on and we should have plenty of good news to share with you all in the next few weeks, I think there will be a few surprises in there!
Here's a wild rumour for you. David & Andrew Fifita to Fev next year. Don't believe it myself, but the source is usually fairly correct.

Johnathan Ford, Jarrod Sammut and then who? Dane Chisholm's now with Keighley. Joe Keyes' attack is let down by his non-existent tackling. Matty Smith was good but is now in his mid-thirties and on his eighth club.
There's an argument for Joe Mellor but anyone would look good in that Leigh team and he doesn't kick goals. Lam is new and doesn't seem to have a goalkicking record. Krisnan Inu is 35 and I reckon Leigh will recruit an additional goalkicking halfback for Superleague.
No one else really stands out from the teams that I've seen this season.
Ford, Sammut, Keyes, Mellor, Jacks, Smith (Morgan), Reynolds and Lam would all be on my list before Lilley. Chisholm too.

THAT scenario always makes me laugh 20 full time teams where are theses 20 coming from
thunder who have a weaalthy owner have just pulled the plug unless it's a twenty split in sky money which the incumbents won't agree to then 20 full time teams is a figment of their imagination
Someone on the main forum worked out that the top 10 would get about £2m and the bottom 10 would get about £1m each.
Can't remember the exact figures but it looked pretty plausible. Would certainly help to bridge the gap between the leagues.
But playing each other 3 times will be mighty dull

To be fair though D they did ask how many teams you wanted in SL and assume all FEV fans would have picked 14
True, I went for 16 myself.
Although I'd guess that a 2 x 10 scenario is designed to get 20 full time teams, we'd probably always be in the 2nd div, but we'd have a better chance in the cup.

Fax are on a roll, almost unnoticed because everyone is creaming over Leigh and Fev, well especially Leigh and it’s richly deserved. I can imagine the furore on this forum if Halifax do somehow go up though, another tin pot Northern town, don’t own their stadium etc.
Didn't they get themselves a new bum hole torn by London the other week?

Done mine.
They seem to be pushing this bloody 2 x 10 thing. That'll mean playing each team a minimum of 3 times a year. Might get a bit boring seeing the same old teams over and over again.

Interesting discussion Down Under. Paul Gallen thinks having P&R would fix NRL blowouts but Gus Gould counters with the season is too long and they should have just 20 rounds with a proper midseason break for internationals.
Imagine the meltdown in some quarters if Australia adopted P&R

Hull FC, Huddersfield, Salford all were promoted at some point via P&R. Licensing & Super 8s have skewed this - before they were options it worked perfectly fine
Castleford too.

A 9s Summer Series, Leeds, Hull, Newcastle, Manchester, London, even Sheffield, Coventry/Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff and of course somewhere in the south of France.
If anything the Hundred has shown that younger audiences are willing to swap your traditional Yorkshire or Lancashire for a franchise team for a brief stint at least.
As long as it doesn't have graphics crafted on a BBC B in 1986, it should be OK.

Totally agree, it should not be any other way.
As sport, we've plenty of form for announcing changes at a moment's notice. I've said before that I'm suspicious that something is a afoot. Wouldn't be at all shocked if the clubs already know what's in store and we'll get to find out right before the start of the season.
Why did League Express print this?

Those suggesting that the person’s viewpoint shouldn’t be heard or that the publication should either not have published it, or that they should have added an editorial are equally guilty of bigotry.
But I guess some bigotry is nicer and cuddlier than others.
and I guess some of the posters get on my nerves generally, so I go out of my way to wind them up.
