It ain't an about turn whatsoever Tommy, the triviality as you put it is part of the process and ultimately the total score alloted just like finances, padded seats for directors, clicks on keyboards, the amount of times a team has matches broadcast, led advertising boards, surely you have seen where I have took umbridge against those?

I have, but that is the past. I can't believe that is your position now! Welcome to the IMG lover group mate!

  2. I note in Cricket, which the BBC and sky cover a lot, they seem to provide broadcasters with ready made articles from their own reporting service.

Do we do this? If nothing else it could free up the few remaining RL journos to focus on non-match report type content.

I don’t particularly mean it was a demand, I probably worded it badly.

I meant if he he wants to play in for another year and leeds didn’t want him to he may have signed for another club so any backroom position may not happen at Leedsz

But surely the backroom position at Leeds is, primarily, to his benefit? Its not like he's a super coach/administrator and holds all the cards, he said himself that he is making the decision because of family reasons with life after rugby.

If it was football and he didn't count towards the cap I could understand it more.

Not many (any) on here are against minimum standards. Also, a bit odd to use that example in support of the IMG system given Salford's impressive rating with only months left on their tenure. I can only guess that people who regard ground tenure as important are pretty disappointed in the IMG criteria being so lax on that.

I am actually pretty disappointed that this isn't so strict. That said, Salford seem to have maxxed out their scores in their current situation too and are still only a B.

Likewise, this is still a compromise that had to be agreed on by the clubs. Turkey's won't generally vote for Christmas.

Help bring the younger kids through for a year.

He may be 37 but he’s still a very good winger.

Does he need to be part of the squad to do that? I'm not totally against the move or anything, and it will be an upgrade on the likes of Olpherts.

I'm not surprised fans aren't particularly thrilled with it either though.

I’m not particularly blaming the fans, they have a right to react how they want.

I just personally don’t like some of the vitriol I'm hearing at games. Some of it quite personal.

I’m underwhelmed myself, although were not that far off where I expected from the start of this season, I thought we’d be scratchy til around round 10, I did however expect us to have one or two more wins.

Last night could have easily gone either way, I’m not that despondent just yet. I’ve seen some really good stuff it’s just been mixed with some awful stuff.

Scrape a win or even lose any of our next two games and it might be different

Its going to get ugly I suppose if things are fractious. That isn't nice, but nor is being pretty rubbish for the second season running. The mood around the fans of the club is frustrated - either from those who want Smith out, or those who don't who are losing the will to defend another "we were close" post match press conference.

I felt last night could have gone either way too. We didn't make enough of our dominant periods and Huddersfield were nothing special - a consistent pattern this season so far.

However if Jake Connor could kick they could have beaten us by another 10 points. That's not close anymore.

The fact even you are saying what you are in your last paragraph is telling. Hull and London simply have to be 2 convincing wins. Anything less and well...

Flicked between all three and timed the Leeds-Huddersfield game just in time for the comeback.

Surely having 300k people watching three games is no worse than 300k people watching one game? There’s no finer sight than going on the Sky EPG and seeing Super League dominating the schedules in a manner that even football can rarely manage.

Love having the chance to flick between different games as they’re ongoing. Also having 6 different kick off slots over a weekend would be a nightmare for match-going fans and fixture schedulers alike.

2 matches in a difficult timeslot like Friday night maybe, but all bar 1 match this round for example was up against a direct competitor.

Miller was excellent bar his brain fart.

Atmosphere at Headingley is very poor at the moment, it’s actually not that enjoyable to go to, the vitriol from some of our fans towards lots of people at the club is horrendous.

Mind you it’s been like that even when we were winning everything at certain points, don’t call us Whinos for nothing 🙂

I agree, Miller was probably our best player last night.

The atmosphere is dictated primarily by what happens on field. There's been not a lot to like - 4th defeat on the spin at home, at least this time we scored double figures... Add to that the impact of last season and expectations for this, you can't blame the fans for being underwhelmed at the moment.

The times I remember it being like that when we were "winning everything" happened usually when we were in a mid season slump that saw us finish 5th consecutively.

Coventry are my team. As such I'm not sure I consider myself a fan of Rhinos. But I have 'followed' them for many years. I get that Smith was brought in to do a job and overhaul the squad but I think he's been given sufficient time now. There's enough talent in that squad to be doing better than they are. Change needed IMO

That is definitely the message I have been increasingly hearing. That squad is good enough to be better than the current results suggest. Good coaches don't need 2 and a half years to get results with the resources at his disposal.

Hey Tommy, you don't have to be at the game to make a judgement, as far as I can see he was brought in on a whim that he would prove to be and as good as his dad and uncle but not proving to be so, hard for you guys who support Leeds to put up with, but if you will please excuse me I don't mind at all.

Haha enjoy. Its more entertaining than Leigh this year for you!
