I didn't go today but we appear threadbare. Couldn't name a 21 man squad and 3 players named in the 20 man squad we already knew were not playing. Said at the start of the season that with a full team we would make the playoffs but that pointless game against Hammersmith where we lost 3 of our best players for the season wrecked the season before it started and it seems our new board either don't have the resources or are totally oblivious to the fact we look a bit of a shambles. Been in the relegation mix I don't think is out of the question.
That is true.
Does seem the new board aren't willing to fund any new signings
I also think the Widdop signing was a mistake funds could of gone where its more needed or saved for when injuries occurred.

Quite the turnaround from 4-14 at half-time to finish 40-14, but I thought we were on top even in the first half in spite of a bit of a lack of speed and intensity, just that we bombed a couple of tries and some great cover defence from Fax at times, whereas Halifax had three chances to score and took them all, with a couple of poor pieces of goal-line defence.
Some brilliant passages of play from Widnes to get three tries in a bit over five minutes at the start of the second half, but we did get a couple of lucky bounces of the ball on kicks that led to tries and then Halifax fell apart a bit, and of course they started trying a bit too hard to catch up which led to more tries. Owens was obviously our best player, his lack of pace is deceptive .
I think Halifax look good for 40 minutes
In the last 4 games they have had 2 2nd half's where they have scored zero points. The other 2 games they have scored 1 try in each 2nd half.

We had plenty of Bulls fans round us in main stand and it was good banter and no malice. A few Fev fans in Bulls end but i don't think there was any trouble- and nor should there be.
The stewards wouldn't let the Bulls fans in the standing end for 2nd Half.
No trouble but maybe something that should be made clear before the game

Fev looked like a bunch of under 9s trying their first game today. After some very encouraging performances, we decided today was a good day to serve up some utter dross against a team we really should be better than.
Fev of last year were better than the Bulls.
Why should the Fev of this year be better than the Bulls?
I see not many predicted the Bulls against Fev.

21-man squad has been posted on RFL website. The big blow - no Springer. That's huge, clearly his hamstring is still an issue.
On the plus side Day is included - looks like his ban counted last week after all because it came in a Challenge Cup game - and Bussey is included too, though whether he's ready to resume remains to be seen. 4 Hull KR DR players are included (Aydin, Gorman, Tennison and Wallace) which suggests Bussey probably isn't ready yet. Still no Tanner or Massey, Yei is suspended, so along with Springer that's 4 of the middles we might have expetced to feature in the 17 unavailable, along with fringe middles Roberts and Arnold, which explains the need for reinforcements on DR.
If Wallace is going to play that might mean Hardcastle reverting to right centre which might help shore up that side defensively. My guess at the 4 to miss out might be Farrar, Wacokecoke, Bussey and Tomlinson, but that's a total guess.

No Day on this one unless I am missing something.

Wow...if you thought we had some bad publicity this season...Bradford have just announced they have signed, on loan, Fenton Rogers, who has just been suspended by Huddersfield after being arrested for drink driving and assaulting either a police officer or an emergency worker (the story seems to vary).
Could be straight into the team against us, if he can get a lift to the ground.
Huddersfield have now closed the case and he is free to play(for now)

Speaking of attendances, Bradford gave theirs out Friday night as nearly 4K. Needless to say it felt/looked more like about 2-2.5K.
It only seems to be the Halifax fans that accuse the club of lying about the attendance figures.
Where's your proof?
The popular side and stand looked busier than usual.

Im pretty sure Koukash went broke. It's definitely Bulls tho.
Defo the Bulls.
We couldn't afford to bid for the Odsal lease and then day before we put an expression of interest in. That money is coming from somewhere. I have heard a name who has plenty of funds.

So, for someone like me who’s been asking for uniform pitch markings in SL for a long time (I appreciate there’s been bigger issues) - I think it might have finally happened! Either that or a massive coincidence.
Warrington are now going with a single red lines on the 20 and 40 metre lines, as they do in the NRL. I’ve noticed today the Rhinos have done the same - last season both clubs would’ve had the double white/red line. It sounds insignificant but if there’s some joined up thinking on this then we could see an end to each club basically marking out the pitch however they see fit.
Anyway, I know at least one other forum member who’ll appreciate this…the rest of you mins your business if it’s not your bag
The Bulls have had this at the Hull FC and Leeds games.

Wasn’t he also given the No.11 shirt, which kind of indicates he was likely to be in the starting 13.
He had it last season too
O'Caroll has kept majority of starting squad numbers the same as said didn't want players coming in and taking numbers.

How can you say he was back up when Bulls fans are saying he's been your best player in the friendlies and you're now left short?! I feel that Bulls may be freeing some cash up for a fresh face maybe?! Or is he mates with Fordy??
Because we have Smith,Butler, Davies,Appo,Arundel,Waites
Butler
Davies
Smith
Will start
Appo/Arundel on the bench.
I don't think we are left short with the above options.
England would be picked after these.

Fair signing that in a position where we don't have much depth. Not sure what the story is behind it (a fan from another club suggested it was about to happen on the Bulls forum the other day) but he gives 100% and plays above his weight.
Good player on his day.
Gets injured fairly often.
18 16 and 13 are his games for Bulls over last 3 season.
Was back up for us so maybe why he has chose to leave.

Would cost them. Club captain, local lad, and Fordy had tried to sign him three times previously. Tell them he's theirs for £1million imo.
Most Championship players have a SL release clause. It all depends on whether Ben Reynolds wants one last go at SL I guess.

Ben Reynolds to Hull KR?

Hull KR are chasing Ben Reynolds
Mentioned at bottom of this article

It is indeed, welcome home Gareth Widdop, great signing
On paper it looks like a good signing but it depends how often he takes to the field. Hasn't completed a full season for the last 5 years.
We had a similar issue when we signed Danny Brough

Looks like he's joined Hunslet
Has that got updated from when he was on loan last season?

No squad number for really promising prop Marcus Green. What on earth is going on at the club?
The club offered him an increased salary. The player turned it down
Sad to see him leave but what else can the club do?

Well done Bradford for paying silly money to Huddersfield for a player who might not feature as they have Tom Holmes as full back
We only have Taufua,Blackmore and Oakes as wingers. Blackmore missed a few games through injury so McGowan can play on the wing if needed
Lilley played Hooker in 2023 so it's likely we go with a spine of
McGowan Holmes Gaskell Lilley

Yeah theres pictures posted about on this forum, you will have to do a search for them though. Other people have said similar as well but I think I might be the only one who posted the evidence. FWIW I don't think the Bulls are alone in this by any stretch its just that theirs are picked out because they are the most obvious.
So no actual evidence except a picture?

0.5 from attandances would be the obvious one as they dip under the 3k average as it will be judged by number of people of actually in attendance. That would leave them about 1.5 points short of being in the mix, going through the gradings I'm struggling to see how they get near that.
So your saying the Bulls included fans who didn't attend? Any evidence?

SL will go to 14 teams in 2025 and the rest will go into a one league is my prediction. No idea how the league would work outside SL.
