Walking from where??? As the Ground will be a good 5 Miles from the City Centre, and even walking up from Woodseats is a long walk and is all uphill.... and you have to cross 2 very busy roads.. That all area cant cope with the current volume of traffic on a Sunday, already thanks to the Retail Park just up the road from the new ground... And Chesterfield Road is a car park most days of the week... The only Public Transport is the buses some of which are very unreliable... Also lets remember there will be more than just the Eagles on or Sheffield FC at the same time as during the summer there will be Cricket, the Sports Hall and other events going on at the location and around Meadowhead....

This will only be good for the Eagles, but there is a lot of convincing to do of the locals up at Meadowhead, Low Edges and other surrounding areas, as a lot of them are against the proposals, and that includes quite a few Eagles and Sheffield FC fans, as the roads where it is planned to be built are bursting at the moment... So a lot of work to do to appease these people, as you dont want to annoy the people on your doorstep..

I would invest in Sheffield Eagles as my home club, or maybe in the local amateur sides Hawks, Forgers and Dodworth, as think an investment in the amateur game would be more lasting than the Eagles as would be requiring the Levine family to sell some of their majority share holding....

I am listening to it on Radio York, and the commentators are gob smacked, we all appreciate application of the rules, but the ref is ruining the game..

I dont know, the whole scoring is a bit of a joke to be honest.... But as an Eagles fan, we have our own stadium (it needs the other stands completing) , attendances have doubled since 2021, the foundation is a big part of the clubs score I think... For me one of the biggest issues with some of the scoring is the reliance on Social Media,,,

Sad news if true, RL needs a team in the North East, plenty of opportunities, which the RFL need to grab with both hands.. I do worry about who is next from League 1 or the Championship, as this is only going one way so far

Unfortunately BBC Radio Sheffield, dont care about Rugby League in Sheffield, but put all there efforts into Football, 5 nights a week on the radio.. and very little other coverage of either the Dons or the Eagles.. Blackpool FC dont want the Summer Bash at there ground, for the foreseeable future... The RFL and clubs are guilty of not promoting the weekend, and who thought of hosting it at the same time as the end of the football season, and a bank holiday weekend, which meant accommodation prices in York where extortionate to start with.. Somewhere like the Keepmoat in Donny would be a good place to host it, but other than that it needs killing off...

Widnes didnt turn up today, and where poor to be honest. The Eagles dominated the forward pack, and in the end we deserved the win.... and to cap it off, 2 end to end tries for the Eagles.. Not a bad crowd either , 1320 at the OLP...
